Box 1 Side, Rail the Other???

Ok, heres the deal, when i slide boxes, i always spin to left and slide with my right foot forward, but when i try a rail, i do the opposite, i spin right and lead with my left. Anyone know why I do this and do you have tips for figuring out which way I should slide.
Thanks in advance.

hey i just started doing 'bigger'rails and boxes this winter and i find that at the begining i got used to sliding both ways. but i have to visualize my run first and sometimes i can only visualize slidding right foot forward and others left

I dont think that sliding different ways is a big problem. In fact it will probably help you out a bit. Just try incoperating the way you slide a boc, into the way you slide a rail. Then you will have both natty and unatty slides down and 270s on and switch-ups will be a breze when you get to that point. So i would try to change anything, its great to slide two ways.

the thing is that i can see myself doing it either way, and when i try it, i just cant do it if that makes any sense

yeah once you get to switch ups and 270 ons its gonna be a breeze son if you keep doing nat and unatty slides

that is a good thing. that will make learning both ways (right and left foot forward) on both of them easier. sack up adn do it tomarrow,a dn try both rails and boxes opposite
i'd still never touch salomon bindings with a 30 foot pole. they pre-release like its their job to.-lanks

yeh dude thats awesome take advantage of it start changing it so you do rails the way you do boxes and boxes the way you do rails and you'll have left and right foot down in no time.

if u wake board or skateboard or have ever done any board sports, figure out if u are goofy or regular, once u find out which way feels better then see what foot is forward, i am really confident going regular(left foot forwatd) on a skate and a wakeboard and thats also they way i feel best on rails, even though i slide unnatty alot too, but i feel alot better left foot forward on rails and riding boards

really, just keep going both ways! you are lucky to not have a default setting on sides when you rail, this'll help you in the long run... i kinda have the same thing as you ^: im a regular skateboarder, i skimboard goofy, and i slide goofy, just whatever works...
