Olimarspin to win
maxstrim going to liberty mountain around july too for a summer camp. I have never been and im going by myself. Any tips or things i should know before i go to the camp? Anyone going to camp?
MinggWhat week?! I'm gonna be there!
It's hot as balls but you need to cover your knees and elbows. If you have tall socks, you can cut them in half and use the shin part to cover your elbows. Last year I just wore my ski pants and a tank top with the elbow things. It's gonna take a few runs to adjust to snowflex but once you do it's pretty easy, sort of like skiing on ice. Bring some snacks and drinks, you'll want them. Hit me up! I'm going half way through week 1 until the end of week 2. There's a ton of shit planned, you're gonna have a sick time at camp!
maxstrI going week 2, do they put you groups judged on how good you are? How good are most of the poeple? Im prob just going to wear my ski pants too. I was looking at their website and you can ski till 11?
MinggSick!! The first day(Sunday) you go to the hill and ride around. They watch you and give you a wrist band. Green-beginner yellow-intermediate red-advanced and you're put into groups from there. Most people can 2 out and 360-540 but there's an equal number of all levels. Some kids were throwing rodeo 5s, cork 7s and some kids were sliding their first boxes and rails.
There's 2 sessions of riding, a morning session and a night session. Morning session is for coaching, night is more of a time to practice, film, and ride with your friends. There's still coaching but you aren't in designated groups at night.
maxstrIm much better at rails, i can 450 out, kfed, and backside swap but i am much worse at jumps. I would be lucky if i could get a clean 360 tail grad... also where do u stay, Like where do u sleep and how many people per room?
MinggYou'll be set then. We stay at the apartments on campus. They're really nice, there's 2 rooms per apartment. 1 room for coaches/counsellors and then 2 rooms for campers, 2 campers per room. You get your own bathroom and there's a kitchen and common area too!
maxstrok, thanks for all the info, i hope to see you their! Its going to be kinda weird not knowing anyone their for the first day. Are you going with friends?
MinggYou'll meet people! Also should mention that the kids in your room are gonna be within a year of your age so you'll get to hang out with them a lot! I'm friends with some campers going as well as some other coaches!
