Korea from the late 1800s until 1945 had been under the control of Japan. During this time there was a lot of different political regimes resulting in subsequently unstable control of the region. In 1945 part of the conditions of Japan's surrender to the Allied Forces saw the reestablishment of an independent Korea. However, as anyone who has studied history knows, reunification of countries with tumultuous political history is difficult. This difficulty was compounded by the fact that the US and USSR were overseeing the reunification process. The two countries decided that they would govern different halves of the country, the USSR taking north of the 38th Parallel and the US taking south of that. While this division was meant to be temporary, it has not been. The US decided that the Provisional Government set up post-WWII was too left-wing oriented hence why they set up a right-wing government in the south.

So, if you think the fact that the Confederate States tried to break away from a unified country is comparable to the formation of modern Korea, you sound like an idiot.

Ive wrestled competitively since I was 5. lve put myself through 10 sessions a week, 3 months at a time during Muay Thai camps. I use to have 2 jobs and Worked 50-60 hours a week while still training MT.

I have mad respect for the men and women that made it through, i just have a soft spot from all the times ive encountered military men and pussies from highschool that put themselves on a high horse because im a "civilian" and they are in a uniform or were once in the military.

There use hollywood, professional sports, commercials etc. to promote joining the military and fighting their questionable war.

Trust me, I agree with a lot of what you're saying. Boot camp was rough for different reasons. The being away from home, the mental stress, not wanting to let anyone down etc. It is more than just push ups and sit ups. I just know from experience that unless you actually did it, it is hard to know what it is like. Not saying it is extremely hard, just unique and can't be described fully via stories.
