I've been processing ski porn for the last month without being able to ski. My coping method? Surfing. Now that the waves are flat for the rest of the summer (or so it feels, FML) I've got nothing better to do than watch the Fiji Pro and excessive amounts of surf porn while I wait for the next hurricane. Or winter to come. Either works.

Super foiled rails still can support you though if you have enough volume under your chest. One of my logs is super thin and foiled, granted it is a log, but it still floats me and paddles me as well as my noserider with big fat rails because of the volume through the middle of the log

Garage. Tape plastic sheets from ceiling to floor to contain the mess. Put a tarp on the floor. A shaping rack is mandatory but easy to make from 10$ of 2x4s and some old carpet or something similar. I think they intentionally leave out thickness since they know it’ll vary. Study boards you like to understand their volume distribution.

And damn I was kinda hoping to see Colapinto go all the way if Mikey Wright wasn't. Ace v Julian isn't bad though.

roddy116had a fun river surf session today up in the clark fork. got a week lined up in puerta vallarta and reserved an 8 foot longboard, if the waves are good enough i might get a shorty and try it out.


Sick! Really wanna give riversurfing a good go this spring summer. Need to find some waves in the Bozeman area and beyond

springdale can be kind of good, but sometimes its a little too flat not steep enough, and gardiner can be fun but the cfs window for the upper yellowstone is usually a pretty small time window.

truuu I remember that. so stoked he beat medina too. Griffen was so fun to watch on the finals day, holy shit that kid ripped for having never surfed kirra hahaha Julian and Ace tore it up too, awesome finals. I filmed a bit most of the quarters and a bit of semis then I just wanted to watch and drink beer. ill hopefully put something together soon, gotta get the computer fixed tho!

So did they miss a good swell at Bells/Winki or something? Seeing all these clips of like half the ct getting some nice looking waves. Should have started the event two days earlier.

Also it's more or less light enough long enough to surf after work now.

Just had a fun morning sesh until the winds got on it. First time it's actually warm here, 65F or so. Stepped down to a 4/3 suit but still hood, boots and gloves.

Bro I don’t know what to tell you, I was just stoked a lake got head high surf can’t really compare it to an ocean… Dope that you get to surf there though.

I've seen footage of the Mediterranean pumping maybe Italy.

The southern tip, you just need a ton of wind to create the waves. You can surf anywhere just have to know the winds.

Nothing like losing your board in between andy nieblas and jj wessels, but shit getting to surf w those guys and tyler warren, tommy witt, etc. is so mindblowing and humbling as to what is possible on a log. Like seeing andy take off fins first, hanging ten, whipping it around into a reverse graib rail deal is insane. Feel so fucking lucky to have grown up here

Had my first warm sesh last week. So many dudes paddling up to their friends and saying how there's so many people out. Yet I didn't see any of those guys when it was 30 degrees and snowing.

Guys are saying the sand on the super bank from snapper to green mount is the most filled in it has been in years. at low tide it is basically all one beach. hopefully some bigger waves this weekend. it has been 1-3 feet for like 2 months

yeah my buddy down in Newcastle said its been so good. the swells been too southerly to hit us here properly. a buddy and i went to lennox head one day last week and it was ok. when we got out steph Gilmore was in the parking lot about to head in. that was kinda cool. stayed and watched her get a few waves

Everyone in my street put 50 bucks in for a fantasy league so fair bit of money in it for end of year prize.

Also fuuckkkk why aren't the waves like that here? Tube, multiple steep sections, second mini tube and closeout section... Meanwhile I'm over here surfing lumpy slightly wind chopped lumps and suffering a grueling paddle out afterwards.

I want mikey to win this event so badly. he got a good match up for the quarters. Jordy vs Toledo is gonna be gnarly. if mikey cant then jordy or griffen would be my next favourites. the Brazilians are in way too good of a position right now haha
