AuschieWhile I do think both cases deserved suspensions, the Bellemare hit was much worse than any word you say to a ref. Hockey players are professionals though. At any other job if you were caught saying something racist or homophobic at a coworker or really anyone while on the job you would face some kind of punishment from your employer. Keep in mind what that word actually means to a community that has been fighting for equality. We've all probably said the word and never meant one bit of harm to the LGBT community but at the end of the day it has a harmful meaning and should not be used. This will hurt the Hawks though. Shaw has been producing consistently this postseason.
Anyway the NHL needs to get their suspensions straightened out. Too many inconsistencies. I'm damn glad Letang did not get one though. That at least deserved a 4 minute penalty. I can see the Rangers playing physical tonight and taking some runs at Letang.
I'm glad the Flyers were able to pull off a win. That's the first time I've ever actually said that because hey. Fuck the Flyers.
JayRichThat Pens win last night had me fired up. It looks like it's gonna be pens caps in the next round. I'd like to see the Flyers win one more game, try to tire Washington out a little bit more.
AuschieGeno stepped it up in a big way after two below average performances and that was so reassuring for them. The Pens dismantled the Rangers who just don't have enough to support Lundqvist who gets visibly rattled when you start getting pucks past him. The series isn't over yet though but with the way the Pens are playing it looks bleak for the Rangers. And yeah the Flyers need to find a way to win one more and beat up the Caps a bit more. I won't say I'm happy he's out because I liked him when he played in Pittsburgh and concussions are a terrible injury but no Orpik for the Caps is a plus.
That Kane goal was dirty though.

JayRichThe Bruins are my least favorite team. Especially after the sweep in ECF a couple years ago. Absolutely heartbreaking. Oshie's goal last night was so sick. As he's falling back, just pulling the trigger. I hate the Caps, but Oshie is too good to hate. I thought Letang knocked him out of the game at the end of the 3rd. That hit was massive. I think Carlson had the tying goal though, which was a ROCKET of a shot.

This should be mentioned. That Beagle save in OT last night could've gone down as one of the biggest plays of all time had the Caps scored after and then won game 7. Instead Bonino is the hero Pittsburgh needs. It's amazing how mid season everyone was calling for his head and all it took was Malkin getting injured and Bonino having a chance to play with Hagelin and Kessel.
Also seeing Milbury after the win realize he gets at least one more series of commentating on Penguins games was great. He looked so depressed and just wanted to talk about how the Caps should've won.
JayRichSpecifically Brad Marchand. The player I hate the most out of anyone in the nhl. I feel like the rivalry between the pens and flyers hasn't been as physical as of lately. The teams still hate one another, but the rivalry isn't as violent as it used to be in my opinion.
Milbury is such a bitch. I loved seeing that after last night. He never gives the pens credit. The hagelin, Bonino, kessel line is the most productive line for the pens right now. It's crazy how they clicked with each other at the perfect time. I'm so pumped for the ECF to start. I just hope Pittsburgh doesn't underestimate Tampa.

J.D.Should really be 1-0 Sharks. They dominated play, had a goal that went in on Jones that shouldn't have, and had a goal disallowed because the ref thought it was covered when it wasn't. They started poorly but after the Backes goal, it was all Sharks.
AuschieI only caught the last 5 minutes but holy shit Vlasic should've had that one that hit post and then off Elliott. The entire time the Sharks had Jones pulled I was on the edge of my seat because they just looked like they were going to get one.
Pens will be in rough shape if they lose tonight. I've heard Schultz is going in for Maatta tonight. Should be a good change considering Olli has looked slow since returning.
JayRichMaata is definitely still feeling cloudy from the hit by brooksie. I like Schultz, and would be happy to see him play tonight. The Pittsburgh looked so flat. Kind of an ugly game all the way around. It's gotta be a complete 180 playing Tampa compared to the Caps though. I'm confident that the Pens will be ready to go tonight. Crosby and Geno need to score though. There's only so much the Bonino, Hagelin and Kessel line can do.
AuschieI agree. Geno can change games but sometimes he just seems distracted. Him and Sid need to start firing shots instead of looking for those perfect passes. I just think back to game 4 against the Rangers where Geno had two goals and two assists and the main reason was he ripped shots every chance he had.
