Granite_StateYou were waiting all year to make this thread weren't you Frenchy haha.
Bring back the poll with who will win the Cup you jackwagon.
Barefootin_Fiendthe poll should include a "any team team that does not hail from a city that never freezes" option. the cup should never reside in LA, Phoenix, Tampa, etc.
GO HAWKS!!
.frenchyEven though I love the shit out of the hawks, can a Canadian team please fucking win?? I've yet to see one win in my lifetime, and please not the senators or the leafs...
eheathI mean, Canucks arent gonna win, so you're rooting for montreal, which we already know, haha.
.frenchyflames and oilers, flames you never know, since they made it this year, and oilers are gonna be STACKEDDDDD with yung talent
eheathI guess I'm not sure how much young talent effect hockey teams, is it better than football? Do they actually make a difference?

Granite_StateLeft out Ottawa who has been a contender for quite a few years.
DingoSean^^banned. Lolz.
I have about zero faith in the Sharks this upcoming season... might make a lower 6-7-8 seed, but I don't see them going far unless some absolutely crazy changes happen, and Doug Wilson goes back to fleecing other teams rather than creating an issue over who gets to be captain or something dumb.
DeebieSkeebiesI thought you were through with being sharked every season?
ANDR01DPer NHL source, Chicago is currently asking for a 1st round pick, an A-level prospect, and a top 6 forward on an entry-level contract in exchange for Patrick Sharp.
baethovenYou ever sold anything? Gotta start with a high asking price and work your way down from there. Realistically we're not going to get all that back, but I can see the Hawks getting a 1st round pick and an A level prospect for him.

baethovenI'm laughing at the Honda comparison. I see where you're coming from, but to compare Patrick Sharp to a car that has 300,000 miles on it is laughable. The man is still an asset to any team. Like I said, Chicago is definitely not getting their asking price back, but it's not like the man can't still play hockey. If we had the cap space I'd love to hold on to him. Regardless, we'll find out next week how this all transpires.
DeebieSkeebiesthoughts about a 3-on-3 OT? I personally would like to see shootouts get taken out and have the OT system like the playoffs installed. 3-on-3 is going to be interesting, will be neat seeing what lineups coaches throw together. still pending BoG approval though.
J.D.Who's got the best three on three line?
Anaheim: Getlaf, Perry, Fowler
Arizona: Gagner, OEL, whoever they draft
Boston: Krejci, Krug, Hamilton
Buffalo: Eichel, Kane... Zadorov?
Calgary: Johnny, Monahan, Giordano
Carolina: Staal, Skinner, Faulk
Chicaco: Toews, Kane, Keith
Colorado: Duchene, Mackinnon, Barrie
Columbus: Johansen, Foligno, Johnson
Dallas: Benn, Seguin, Klingberg
Detroit: Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Kronwall
Edmonton: McDavid, Hall, Schultz
Florida: Huberdeau, Bjugstad, Campbell
LA: Kopitar, Gaborik, Doughty
Minnesota: Parise, Koivu, Suter

San Jose: Thornton, Marleau, Burns
St. Louis: Tarasenko, Schwartz, Pietrangelo
Tampa Bay: Kucherov, Stamkos, Hedman (or just an all forward line of the triplets?)

Vancouver: Sedin, Sedin, Edler
Washington: Backstrom, Ovechkin, Carlson
Winnipeg: Wheeler, Little, Byfuglien
I'm still saying Pens win here. Chicago, Philly, Dallas and Anaheim have a case and Colorado's might just be too fast to deal with.
ContenderIf DD starts 3 on 3 my blood will boil.
.frenchychill dude Patch and DD complete each other
its science
.frenchyit really depends, but yeah they do make a huge difference, edm has the #1 draft pick AGAIN this year, most likely going to draft mcdavid, ranked even better than crosby when he played in the same league as connor mcdavid. this kid is gonna be a superstar.
even look at how kane/crosby played when they were 18/19. they can make a pretty huge difference offensively on a team that is slacking in the goals department
-emile-second Crosby played in the QJMHL and McDavid played in the OHL.
.frenchyQMJHL* ;)
-emile-still isn't the OHL
.frenchystill spelt it wrong
