So I recently turned 21 (Birthday was on June 1st, but because it was on a monday, I went out the following weekend) and it was the first time I used an Uber.
So we have a little pregame, I'm feeling great, that perfect zone of I'm confident enough to dance and my moves are slick, yet I'm not nauseous from Alcohol. So I'm with 5 people including myself and we order an Uber from my friend's place in Detroit to an amazing bar called the Punch Bowl Social. So we get picked up at a reasonable time, he called us, we all piled in, the care to a super clean Yukon, or a Denali or even a Suburban and we are on the way to drink.
So We are in the heart of Detroit, Driver is super cool, laughing with him, nice guy and we have a green light and this asshole comes into the intersection out of another lane with a solid Red light and nearly T-Bones us. Nearly.
The Driver keeps a cool head since I kept Yelling "LEFT LEFT LEFT!!!!" at him (I like to think I saved the Day) and for some reason I never felt so reassured in my life since I would have for sure been in a fender bender if I was behind the wheel with alcohol in my System.
He drops us off at the bar, We are now all sober since the Adrenaline made us snap back to reality and killed the buzz. Luckily though the bar had no shortage of alcohol and we proceeded to get drunk.
So shout out to Uber for saving me from a car accident and make my 21st the shit.
