Ryanvdonkcardiel has been around forever, but i just think way because he's been at the top of multiple aspects of the sport and really pushed going huge. both candide and danny way specialize in WTF! moments.
Cardiel is like Candide for the same reason, kind of. Cardiel is one of the pioneers of the multi-aspect domination. Cardiel was a street killer, but he would out of nowhere with no pads, go skate vert with Rune, Danny, etc. and bust padless 540's like it was nothing. That's just like in my opinion Candide, known as a park skier, taking it to big mountain and freeriding as an outsider and just crushing it.
Cardiel is one of those guys who could throw 540's in vert, dominate pools and tranny (How about that bs 360 on the broken board over that hip?!) and then also be known as one of the gnarliest street skaters ever (stepped to stupidly large rails like it was nothing). Major difference between the two I guess is that Cardiel wasn't a comp killer throughout his whole career. Cardiel just like Candide is a name that current pros constantly reference as their favorite skater.
