Of course Jerry nails this topic right on the head. We need way more people like him combating the stupidity of the world.

Personally I think everything he says regarding the issue is true, and it's a breath of fresh air that someone else is voicing what I'm thinking. This has gotten way out of control as it is.

You're the one making the absurd claim its sexist. It's your responsibility to explain yourself, not ours. How in any way, shape, or form is a mother encouraging her daughter to start mingling and interacting with boys sexist?

by her mothers prejudice that her daughter will want to interact with boys. That is text book prejudice, one of the factors of sexism.

Well lets define it. Prejudice - preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or actual experience.

I think her statement qualifies as based on reason or actual experience. She was a teenage girl at one point and is raising her child based on her own life experience.

That is 100% prejudice. She thinks he daughter will want to hang out with boys in the future based on HER experience. Not based on any facts about her daughter. That's like me saying my son will love skiing because I love skiing. No it doesn't work that way.

But I think what SJW is getting at is that the mother is assuming her daughter will be attracted to guys because she is a girl? I don't know. This argument is stupid.

If you think that's prejudice, you're delusional, and just looking for things to be offended about for the sake of it. The mother's merely looking out for her daughter by encouraging her to socialize and live beside the opposite sex, which is a vital part of not just growing up, but life in general. Unless you somehow find pleasure in going out of your way to be offended at everything, or you're simply just very bored, I really can't see how you'd find what the mother said to be sexist, in any way.

All the downvotes just supports Seinfeld's idea even more. Everyone just throws around these ideas without having a grasp on them. The lines are essentially in our face now. Listening to people talk about issues now is hilarious because people can't even talk about the subject their discussing. Everybody uses awkward euphemisms and phrases to beat around the bush.

I think a lot of you mistake the issue for an excuse to hate. But its really about the abuse of all these "causes".

How is it dumb? Its quite apt for NSG where all these discussions happen about this crap. It directly relates to at least half the threads here. Was it too much to think about for you? And you're still watching the thread so it can't be that uninteresting for you.

I guess you can peruse the threads about poop, and other mundane things since those aren't as dumb. The clicky arrow to downvote probably taxed you too much.

Are you suggesting the mother never teach the kid anything? Are you suggesting the mother doesn't talk to the girl about boys and sex and everything to do with the birds and the bees? Yes, its based on the mothers experience but that's what parenting is about. Yes, LEEAVE OPEN ENDS for your daughter to make decisions on her own and learn from them but at the same time, the mother should be laying down the path for her daughter to walk on. Just a friendly suggestion. Quit trying to be a SJW and be real about this. I could see this argument based on the fact of shoving religion down the daughter throat with the guilt and shame attached to it but you're talking about basic human interactions between sexes. Would you rather the daughter google sex and witness deep throating at the tender age of 11?
