Haha, I think there's plenty of room to let everyone know that you're about to murder their line with a little bell action just before you get there. As long as it doesn't tip them off to your intentions, you know?
Had a moment like this on a powder day last winter at Taos. Four people standing around the top of an untouched chute, I rolled up, and without saying a word, proceeded to lay waste to the thing.
My other favorite is when people beat me on the bootpack, then stop for a smoke break that lets me catch up and get to it first. I'm not even sorry--that's what the lift is for, dudes.
