i have nothing against gays, couldn't care less about what they do, but trans is a different thing.
my personal opinion is that its a mental health issue. if a 65 year old man thought he was a 10 year old boy and wanted to be treated as such, he would be put into a psych ward.
what is the difference then between a 65 year old man thinking he is a female. that thinking quite obviously starts in the brain, ergo mental health issue.
at the end of the day, if you are born a male, your sex will always be male. you can try and chop and change that as much as you want, you might call yourself a transfemale, but you will never be a female.
.lenconWhy is everyone saying she? It's still a he to me
Because she is the correct term. Sex and gender are two different, but closely related terms. She and he are socially defined terms and aren't rooted in biological characteristics. The correct one to use is whatever the subject prefers. Male and Female refer to the biological sex of the subject. So in this case, she is a male is a perfectly logical statement.
And to the person above me, I don't think she got her penis removed. Just had the facial surgery, hormone therapy, and a boob job I believe.

I don't care what's correct or what you want to be called. If you are a human and have a penis you are a dude. Not a female, not a cat, not a giraffe, a male human being. He simply added attachments lol
Personally I don't understand transgender or genderqueer but if people think thats who they are let them. I was born with a wang dang doodle and that makes me a man in my opinion but if anyone feels like they are something else I feel like that should be respected by anyone.
LonelyI'm just pissed she got the Ashe courage award or whatever over a double amputee.
THIS 200%
she is creating her own media attention, if she didn't want to be all over the fucking news she could have maybe, I don't know, not done a cover shoot for an internationally recognized magazine?
S.J.Wyou do realize that there is no runner up to the Arthur Ashe courage award right?
Doesn't matter that there's second place or not. All we know is that some he/she was being brave for adding boobs but a marine defending his country and fellow marines wasn't brave enough.

Courage is not a competition.
Caitlyn is brave for enduring all the shit that comes out with being gay
Caitlyn is brave for enduring all the shit that comes out with being gay
A marine is brave for defending their country.
Don't compare the two.
Courage is not a competition, but he/she gave him/herself half the crap by getting on the cover of vanity fair.
Also, in some countries gay is not allowed, the marines and other people of our military defend rights and privelages such as being gay or adding boobs.
you sure as hell implied it. You most likely only know Noah Galloway because of this picture. Which is just made up shit to take away from the achievements of Caitlyn Jenner. Noah has received multiple publications for his work, including the cover of mens health. Like I said, stop comparing courage and bravery. It's not a competition. Ones person courage is another persons every day.

You know what I think I will. It is an award for courage is it not? Yes what she did took guts, but much off it is self created. "I'm brave for dealing with the hate...but I do photoshoots for magazines so I can continue to show everyone how great I am" what about the gay kid who comes out in front of his homophobic football team or family. That's pretty courageous. Difference is he doesn't get the photoshoot. Neither does the veteran who gets half of his body blown off, and comes back to continue to excel in athletics with a disability that he gained from fighting for his country. Bruce/Caitlyn was in the Olympics. Wow. Yay. You get a gold star. I think it is brave of her to come out, but just because you're a big name does not mean you're courageous.
Hell just wait and Kim kardashian will switch over and be courageous to.

So you're saying since marines put their lives on the line everyday and that's normal, it shouldn't be valued as much as Caitlyn Jenner.
Get out if your stupid little bubble and look at the world for a second. Maybe you'll realize some things.

Your points are like Swiss cheese
Full of holes
well that's like your opinion dude, but seriously stop comparing who's more courageous. Everyone is going to have a reason as to why anyone should get an award.Caitlyn Jenner has started a conversation about transgender that no mainstream media has touched on so far. Much like how no one wanted to touch gay rights for a long time, now gays are slowly getting more and more rights and soon we'll look back and be like what the fuck, why didn't we do that earlier?
LonelyIt's nice how you just respond with a statement and some sort of poorly worded insult instead of defending yourself, but whatever
Courage-the ability to knowingly do something that is difficult or dangerous.
So I guess maybe difficult is what she did...and then repeatedly self projected..idk
And I have to say it's funny how you are so self righteous, when in reality you are just the liberal version of Frenchy.
But hey you not me
I hardly think I'm self righteous, where in this thread have I appeared to be self righteous? I'm not saying I'm better than you for accepting Caitlyn, I haven't said your opinion is wrong. What I'm saying is that we need to stop comparing who's more courageous. It's not a competition.
And in no way did I say marine shouldn't be valued. Notice how I didn't say "ones person courage is a marines everyday". It was a blanket statement to reinforce that courage shouldn't be a competition. If it came straight after the marines sentence, then yeah I could see how you could misinterpret it, but it doesn't. So there's no excuse for you misinterpreting it, unless you admit that you just picked out the statement and changed it to fit your "argument"
anyone who thinks that some dude getting boobs and then making millions from photoshoots and whatever comes with that is more courageous than a marine getting blown to shit is delusional.

If we're trying to be controversial...
Why do we call everyone in the military heroes, and why do we always connect them to fighting for our freedoms when the vast majority of our escapades have nothing to do with protecting out freedoms.
Sure, going into battle takes a lot of courage, but that doesn't mean it isn't misguided. Just seeing the "well the military this" comparison to go against pretty much everything these days. People are sharing this while ________ got shot in Iraq. People are posting pictures of cats when ________ got hit by a bomb in Afghanistan.

Just kind of tired of it.
it can certainly be misguided, but that would be more political than the grunts on the ground. theres always going to be misery and conflict somewhere in the world so there will always be frivolous news compared to it, but in this case, they are directly saying that what Bruce Jenner has done is more courageous than what that soldier did, and its ridiculous.

Well in one area you have the backing of being a hero, especially if anything bad happens. In the other you have a shistorm that's going to be unleashed on you as seen here.
If I went to war and got shot, I'm a hero(at least in everyones eyes). If I told people that I was a woman, people would stop talking to me and people would probably say all kinds of fucked up and aggressive things towards me. Sure there is more support out there, but it's still a little understood and not very accepted.
Hell some people go into war just because they want to be a hero, and want that respect.
Nobody comes out and says they're really a woman just because they like of everyone hating them.

yes but the Kardashians love the attention, whether it be good or bad.

scratchproteenlolololol you're born with a cock and balls you are a fucking dude. You were born with a Y chromosome.
It's all a brilliant way to make money.
This is exactly the point. Brave to come out? Yes. Making lots of money from it? Yes. That's what I don't like about it, the fact that the courage has some sort of economical motivation behind it, even a small one.

Yes, but when you go to fight, you're not going hoping to get half your body blown off by a ied. The marine knows the risk but has no control if something happens.
She knew exactly what she was doing, knew the consequences, and did it bravely and is now bravely making millions from it.
Espn is a joke anyways, they just give those kinds of awards out to whatever is currently trendy and that happens to be the lbtqjrodxvz or whatever. Both lauren hill and noah galloway deserve the award more than bruce
It seems to me that it comes down to this: Bruce Jenner was born as a male with an X and a Y on his 23rd chromosome. On his birth certificate it has him classified as male because that is what he is. You can add all the plastic and chop off whatever you want from his body but he will still be a male, just with a weird body. I think the fact that he says he identifies as a female is either A) an attempt to get attention, create arguments and basically make headlines around the world for a while, along with shit tons of money or B) he has something not quite right in the head and really needs some help. Like someone said earlier, if he identified as a 4 year old boy, people would say something's wrong. I think there is no difference with saying you identify as the opposite gender

I don't agree with the first part of your post, but dead on accurate on the second half.
I'm fucking tired of it too. Bunch of combat veterans go out and get their fucking feelings hurt on social media when...
Most of the fuckers that shared the shit about CJ and whatever award it was had never heard of the whatever award it was before that photo came across their FB feed. And now they are offended.

This. I hate that shit. When there's something that people didn't even know about but suddenly because somebody shares a facebook meme in their news feed it's as if they've cared deeply about whatever cause for 100+ years.

Lol I immediately thought of clip on tits.
But no I completely have changed my mind on the situation since I too am experiencing the same thing. You see, I've been living as a human male but I was meant to be a Subaru. My great uncle was a transautomobile so it's clearly genetic. I may have male parts but inside I know I have a five star safety rating and a killer resale value.
so she truly identifies with being a woman...and has said she is NOT gay...which would lead me to the conclusion that she likes men...or am I missing something??
