Center mounted bacons or blends?

So I rode bacons this past season, but I got em mounted factory so I wouldn't compromise when it came to powder. Now, I wish I had a pair of center mounted skis.
Has anyone rode a pair of bacons center mounted? What are they like in the park/soft snow.
What about center mounted blends?
Thanks a big load

Have the Bacons at Eric's choice -2. Skis great there. I heard that they just added the "factory recommended line" so people who buy more traditional skis would be more comfortable with it. But in reality I think it was designed to be skied at -2 and you will probably enjoy it more there once you get used to it.
I don't think it'll make a big difference mounting true center in terms of it's ski-ability, but the Bacon is not a completely symmetrical ski. I would definitely ask your tech about mounting it at sidecut center though, if you didn't want to do -2 that is.
Either way, around -2 ish is the way to go with the Bacons.

I skied Bacons centre mounted for a couple of seasons. They work well on groomed/all mountain and feel great in the park (I rode them largely as a wide park ski). But they don't float all that well in pow at centre, because the wide tail doesn't sink all that happily and can throw you in to the front seat. I think they ('12-'15 model) are a far superior ski to the Blend in pretty much every way though.

Yes I absolutely vote for Pollard's choice at -2. EP knows what he is talking about for this one haha. Rode in a 8" pow day on a Tuesday then Wednesday was all groomers. Performed incredibly for both. Plus at Pollard's Choice, you really don't give a whole lot as far as riding switch. They rode just as well switch as forward at -2, and you feel the difference riding pow 100%.

The most recent pair of bacons i have had were center mounted, and were really fun everywhere. Even though they were a lot smaller than I thought they would be, it just took an extra day to get used to them and after that they were absolutely incredible.. There is nothing wrong with factory mount though
All times are Eastern (-5)
