grooming actually does make skiing a lot more smooth. You can't get super smooth large radius turns in moguls. You can do large radius turns in bumpy conditions they are just not as smooth.

And most people who have been skiing for at least a few years know that you can ski powder on thin skis because… well until recently you had to ski powder on thin skis

If you value your own safety over popular opinion, then you being a boring skier will be so much better than you being an instant patient on the stretcher. In fact, if careful skiers can even suffer from fits of "involuntary somersaults" then being less prudent will be a worse decision. Accidents rarely announce themselves. Even when they do so, the "unpleasant" outcome would be pretty much the same (or even worse since you saw it coming before lights out). Being a boring skier is the best way to go with your ski trip, since you can always try other things (like ski flying) to sate your adrenaline hunger. "

The trick park is a safe place for my family

Wrong, the trick park is a debris field where death lurks around every corner and no member of your family is safe. If you venture into the trick park there is a very good chance that your family will come out a little bit smaller. If you're sick of dragging around 3 kids and all the bills that come with them, we highly recommend the XL trick park at the mountain. In that case encourage them to hit every feature and hope to god one of them sends it off the side of a huge knuckle into the punji pit forest of trees on either side. Your intentions may vary but one thing that is 100% for certain, skiing through the trick park will certainly end in death.
