.Hugo.The vast majority if scholars acknowledge that he was a real person. Say whatever you want but he existed. Thats all im saying on this, its way off the thread topic and youre one of the most stubbirn and thick skulled members on here.
Im not even religious, like at all. Ive never once been to church and never even so much as picked up a bible.
Skeptics are probably due to what the climate is like that they live in. For example this last winter in MN was above average in warmth and barely any snow at all starting us off with a bit of a drought this spring, we've gotten good rain the past month so those concerns are gone.
But, last winter it was top 10 coldest and snow fall.
That is probably what drives people to say "oh it is just patterns, climate change doesn't exist."

Cool show me a non secondhand account or an account during the time that you stated he existed not hear say 200 years after he died. A shit load of people claimed to be the sun of God and a shit load of them were justified there's 12 other stories across 5 different people with the same exact premise and ending of their lives. Did he exist probable, but it's definitely not a hundred percent proven and accepted.
Silly OP. Climate change isn't science and neither is it obvious because it's an opinion. Kinda like the other pressing issues of current times: for example, weather or not (see what I did there lol) blacks should be able to get married or if gays should be able to vote.
The US Congress recently proved this by voting 50-49 that climate change is not caused by humans.
Yeah, just kidding. Congress is fuckin numb. 97% of climate scientists say climate change is real and human caused while a measly 41% of the US population believes them.

Honestly, I don't care about the bigots of the general public not "believing" in climate change. The real issue here is that the government doesn't.
my opinion on the skeptics is that they are fed what the politicians want them to believe and because theres barely a single politician that isn't being bought out by big business they continue on with the belief that it doesn't exist/doesnt affect them. The reason big business buys out politicians to say that climate change doenst exist because they can't control the amount of energy we receive and therefore have no way of increasing the amount of profit they can get through things such as coal, fracking, and oil. sure they could tax it but in reality if u live "off the grid" then all the electricity u make through, hydro, wind, or solar is all ur own and they don't own/can't make u give it up. its just an endless spiral of corruption and greed and idiocracy.

Well Jesus' disciples Matthew and John wrote the books Matthew and John so...
Not to mention the books of Luke and Mark were written before A.D. 70.
That would be like me writing about the JFK assassination.
But this thread is about climate change so I'm done continuing any sort of religious debate.

Cheerio
There occurs no contemporary Roman record that shows Pontius Pilate executing a man named Jesus. and yes the Bible is so true and has been proven countless times to be accurate do you know there's also no artifacts or evidence that Jewish people ever lived in Egypt. most people do believe that he probably existed but there is no tangible proof and nobody can say for certain that he was alive and a real person no historian will guarantee you that he actually existed unless he has a religious bias

The psychology of their denial works against them just as much as the scientific evidence.
Anybody who doesn't believe in mad made climate change is either an idiot or ignorant of what actual science tells us. Don't believe the oil and coal companies.
VinnieFI'm skeptical because climate is always changing so scientists are jumping on this opportunity to publish studies linking this to humans with whatever straws they can to essentially create a whole field of study on anthropogenic climate change which, because of their fear mongering, means they're able to get funding for further projects which they normally would not get.

Global sea ice is literally the same amount since the cooling period that ended in 1979. Yeah it was low for like six years but now it's back to "normal" (going by 1979 standards). Also the amount of ice in 1979 was supposedly more than the amount at the end of the Little Ice Age about 100 years ago.
Also I would advise a trip up to the Arctic rather than Antartica.
The government needs man made climate change to exist because they make money by keeping the public scared about something. Whether it's war, AIDS, or the environment. The climate has always been changing throughout history; There have always been periods of high and low temperatures. Focus on saving our trees or something, not cutting CO2 emissions...

Hey you, watch that video one post above you and it'll explain to you in simple terms why the rationale behind your post is wrong.
Whether the government wants us scared of something more is irrelevant. They have us plenty scared of imminent "terrorism" already.

Yea, sea ice and glaciers are different things. Of course sea ice levels are the same, in fact I think I saw a NASA stat about it increasing, attributing that to there being a lot more cold water from the melting glaciers on land. The Ice that we need to be concerned about are the huge glaciers on the land that are disappearing ridiculously fast. There's some fantastic photography work done by the Extreme Ice Survey http://extremeicesurvey.org/ that really helps you visualize how fast these glaciers are melting. That's what you have to worry about because that's a lot of water that was previously on land going into the ocean. This is why we see millions of displaced climate refugees in Bangladesh and in other third world coastal cities.
nocturnalif you don't believe in climate change then you refuse to believe in scientific proof and therefore there's no use arguing about it. there's as much proof for climate change as there is for cigarettes causing harm to human.
exactly. Just be careful on what you read on the internet. But yeah, even 8 years ago we already had more than enough proof on this.
