I lost most of my taste a few years back. So now my favorite food is spicy food. Doesn't matter what really. I eat to survive now. It makes decision making for meals a lot easier.

Well there are benefits. I can't taste much because I can't smell anything. There are more awful scents than good ones imo. So that's kinda neat. It mostly just takes longer for me to actually taste something so it's not completely gone. Both are benefits considering I probably shouldn't be alive after the process of losing them.
