I finally tried alpine skiing and...

SO yeah I finally tried it last week for a couple of days. I never ever been on alipe skis in my 17 years of skiing. I've always been on tele stuff. I had a blast. It is so much fun. It's definetly a LOT easier. I couldn't believe it. I'm hooked. It just so much more stable and a lot less effort. I'm still going to tele some but I really like alpine. it is just so much fun. I guess all those years of teleing make me appreciate how much easier and better alpine skiing is. I'm glad I decided to try it because I think my skiing will progress so much more this season again. I can't wait to get back on my alpine stuff. And to all yopu people who diss PRs they are so much fun to ski. How can you not like that ski. They are a blast.

sick, good to see people out there are diversifying what they do, ive tried to telemark a few years ago, shit its tough to do. glad to hear it went well for you though, and yeah, the PR are sick sticks

Seriously though, that's awesome that you enjoyed alpining. I really think tele skiing is cool too and anyone who jib/huck/throwdown/carve/whatever on tele skis has my vote as a legitmate bad-ass.

Thats pretty sick that you tried alpine skiing, and yes it is ALOT easier than teleing so if you do a permanent switch it should be no problem.

Yes, PRs are a good ski, but remember, you haven't had a chance to try anything else mounted for alpine, right? You might want to have something to compare them to before you decide how great they are... I've skiied them, wasn't all that impressed. But hey, whatever floats your boat, I guess.

ya i did that the other way around, from alpine to tele, and tele is ridiculously hard compared to alpine
