So I'm interested in gettjng a canon rebel t2i or t3i. I can find both bodies for cheap, but they come without a lens. However, my parents have a xsi they never use and I could cop those lenses. But would they work? My grandma also has a t1i she never uses, could I use those lenses?

pretty sure both of those you mentioned use ef lenses so they will be compatible with a t2i or t3i.

Yes any lenses that can be used on a xsi or t1i can be used on a t2i or t3i. (They are all have crop sensors so they can use either EF-S or EF mount lenses)
