Slope or Flatland?

I currently have a setup on flat land and considering how steep it is i really don't get enough speed. Should i try and relocate it to a bit of a slope to get the speed i need or are there any other things i could do to increase my speed. I also don'r really know how to securely attach pvc to wood. Could anyone just help out at all that would be great.

It's 8 feet high, but its quite steep at the top. I have a box and a bigger pvc both about 8-10 feet so 16-20 feet together and i'd like to be able to make it to the end when i connect them.

Heres a picture of it from a while back. correct me if i'm wrong about the lengths of the rails.

put it on a slope for sure for getting more speed, but theres other things you could do instead. orange construction fence helps A TON. literally it makes you go 2x faster. put it at the top of your drop in all the way down to the tranny. the other thing you can do is make your tranny a lot less agressive and smooth out those angles!!! either one you choose should work out! goodluck

Don't have a pic but my drop in is 13-17ft sitting on a slope and can slide 20ft of rails. I set the first section with supports under the top part so it's about 2 ft off the ground and the second section sitting in the slope and it works great. It's pretty sketchy but it works pretty damn well. One section is a dock section I found floating in my shore on the lake I live on.

Check the sticky threads(blue threads) at the top. I believe there is one on getting speed out of your drop in and I know there's at least one on building a rail that with a few different peoples tips and I believe a full tutorial.

Worth checking out.
