What is the best "summer snow" material?

Hi out there!

Right now I am trying to consider what material/snow i should use on my new summer setup.

I have seen some different materials that I could use but I am still not sure.

Right now i am considering mSnow (which I think is really expensive), but i really want to buy a material to my summer setup which is cheap and fast.

Can you guys help me with this problem? What is your experience?

Turf with soap and water works really well and is somewhat cheap.

I have also considered turf but what turf do you have? I have no idea what turf i should buy...

Here is some basic turf that I use for my setup:

I also use this plastic lattice on the drop in for extra speed but the downside is less control. I personally don't recommend the orange construction fence.

If you go with turf then you need to wet it down a lot and be really efficient with your design. If you can afford M-snow, you'll probably end up with a better setup. You can also look into powderpak or snowflex.

This thread pops up all the time but I've never seen a good comparison of what is actually the best and the pros/cons of each. It'd be cool if someone tried them all and then did a comparison.

Most important in my opinion is the geometry of your setup. Bad tranny's are easily the most common mistake. You don't need a huge lip or a long flat section.

Seriously , this same fucking thread has already been mad roughly a 1000 times, you don't even have to use the search bar , just look through the first and second page of newschoolers and I'll guarantee you that you'll find atleast one thread asking about this exactly same question you just asked.

My only suggestion would be to use something like this for the first down part of the drop in.

It has less surface area and harder then construction fencing, but can bend unlike the plastic lattice. Cover 50% or more of the down part of your drop in with that.

another dope turf element: you can get ice rink ice-snow and it sticks very well to the turf for a mid summer semi-real snow experience.

This stuff is FAST! Used some last summer for a slope. Rubbed on a lot of wax and then sprayed the turf down with water, it worked almost too good.

You can find it on amazon as well but it's not as cheap as lattice or astro turf.
