Summer ski rail Question

I'm in the middle of building my summer setup and was wondering what would be best for a rail. I'm only building one flat bar so would I be better off making it a 2x4 or 2x6 for width. The 2x4 would be a double barrel and the 2x6 would be a triple barrel. Would I be better off with the wider flat bar or would the 2x4 flat bar be fine?

I've found that a double barrel is perfectly fine. It'll save you some money too.

honestly it depends on how good you are. most people go 3pipes wide and its normally the funnest. just depends. i personally would go with the 2 by 6

IMO the big diameter round pipes are the most fun, however they are also the hardest to get, tubes give you more edge grip and i think a little more forgiving and good for learning and progressing.

A dub barrel is fine. They fit on a 2x4. and 2x4s are the mot likely to find laying round. That said neither is that pricey.

Would def make it 10 feet minimum as well. Not sure what you're planning but a lot of people make there rails too short. 8 feet sounds decent but when you start shredding it it becomes to short pretty much instantly. Might not want to go more than 16 though so you don't have trouble making it to the end.

Idk could build short and a long. The materials aren't very expensive. Probably 20 bucks a rail and thats building it fucking sturdy.

Already have 2 of em so I'm good. I was only going to make 1 flat bar and wanted to know what would be the best between the two. Thanks though.

flat bars are a good change up, i have around 7, a box, and a big pipe and small one
