Replying to Summer Setups and New Skis

I just bought a pair of new icelantic nomads, and they're the only pair of skis I have since my others are broke. I'm in the middle of building a pretty burly summer setup, and was wondering if after de tuning my skis, using them brand new on my setup is the best idea. I know set ups are notorious for beating up skis, but I wanted to hear some other opinions/stories. Any genuine answers regarding how the skis might end up are appreciated.
