This is a really broad question and I'm sure some people could write essays for answers. I I am pretty new to park too and I personally have found a few really helpful things:

Visualisation is key before trying something new or something that scares you. Know exactly why you are trying to achieve or even in lip from your skis and go through the motions.

Watch as many videos and tutorials as you can. Even if you only take one good tip from each video you can build a tonne of confidence.

Repetition is necessary to get good at anything. You will fall and you will hurt yourself. Don't give up though even the pros went through this at one point.

Video yourself on a phone or gopro than you can see exactly what you are doing wrong and
correct it. Gopro a are great because they can do super slow motion.

Don't let pride get one way of looking stupid or bad In the park

These are some things I find help me anyway hope this helps a bit.

I think a big part of it is you have to realize that it takes time to progress, you won't just suddenly get whatever trick your trying. Obviously some tricks are much easier to learn and therefore take less time. But if you don't give up, the tricks will start coming.

When you learn to slide boxes and rails sideways, make your self feel like you have more weight on your front foot so you don't slip out on your hip and lookto the end as soon as you get on the rail/box.

Both of these are key. A.) when learning it's easy to get frustrated and just give up, hang in there and stick to it, you'll be glad you did. B.) video can help so much, you can re watch it and see what your doing right and wrong and then correct yourself. Good luck man

The key to progressing fast is to try stuff you don't think you can do. I'm not sayings to go crazy and try tricks you know for a fact you couldn't do without working up to it like a double or sometching to that extent. But when you get comfortable sliding rails for example try some 270s out and some front swaps and try and surprise yourself. It's my first year skiing and I remember at the beginning of the season when I just learned how to slide rails I wanted to try 270s out but for some reason I told myself I wouldn't be able to do it but then I thought the only way to learn is to try it so I did and within 2 days of trying it here and there I had them down pretty consistantly. After getting past that mental block progressing in skiing is so fun. once you get into trying harder tricks on difficult obstacles then it takes a lot of balls and willingness to take a fall in order to get good. Just remember the longer you sit there and think about it the more scary it's gonna geT so you have to go for it and that's the only way it's gonna get better.

Learning rails can be scary.
1) put more pressure on your front foot. This will help you from slipping back on your hip. When you get comfy so keep doing this, it's just keep you from leaning back
2) look at the end of the rail once you get on.
3) try urban in and straddle, pick which you feel the most comfy with and learn that way first. If you do choose straddle first, make sure to come back and learn as it is really helpful and sometimes the only way to hit rails
4) fuck it and just go hit it. If you have the mental block on a rail, just go try it, worst case scenario is you fall on your hip, you will want to go back to hit again and eventually you will slide the whole thing. This happened to me with DFDs and I got it 3rd try and went wow that wasn't so bad.
5) hit rails with other people/friends. Usually the pressure or the vibe will get you to go hit something you don't want to.

What Swandog said is essentially what I would tell you. Another think that helps with progression itself is not to take a ton of time between learning new tricks. I mean when you just learned front swaps and back 2s but you don't take it to k Feds just because you can't get a front swap every time and you're scared to go bigger or whatever. The transition from big mountain to park must be weird because big mountain takes good form but park is like 90% balls
