Does roller blading make you a better skier

ive been hearing this a lot lately, i feel like both activites have some similarities, but some major differences. ive tried roller blading and have eaten crap hard. i feel like it would help a ton with balance but thats about it? anyone here blade? how much does it help you?
but seriously i want to know and would possibly want to get into it

Yeah it probably helps but it hurts a fuck ton when you fall. Like way more than on snow... Also the lack of afterbangability is disappointing.

In all honesty as a rollerblader. NO. rails are way easier on skis but airs are way easier on skates. I started skating in high school and got misty 3s and flastspins but for the life of me I can't get inverted on skis. I've noticed that the kids who skateboard in the summer are usually better at skiing in the winter. Plus as much as I love rollerblading skateboarding does look cooler.

Truth is yeah it does help you. Just look for Dima Makrushin's edit (Skier and blader).

Personnally for a couple of years in a row, I didn't have much time to ski during winter due to school so I bladed indoor for like 3 years in a row.

Didn't ski much (maybe like 2-3 times per winter) but everytime I went skiing in the park, I was better than the year before even though I almost did not ski.

It has a similar feeling than skiing and everyone who says blading is not stylish hasn't seen a recent blading edit. Blading is wicked, it's fun and you should try it.

Ya I haven't seen how it has helped me at all (though never got super into it), although I feel like skateboarding would a lot more in certain aspects.
