Replying to I need some knowledge

So this year I'm moving to Colorado and living with my Uncle. He sends me a ton of photos of hiking up back country and stuff but the problem is I know literally nothing. I'm a park skier from Pennsylvania and have zero experience or knowledge shredding backcountry, but really want to get into it. This year I'm planning on buying a setup strictly for pow so I need help. I have no idea what ski's or bindings to get so I'm pretty much completely lost in terms of buying my first pow setup. So please help me out here and send me any links to read up on of stuff i need to know, and tips on a decent setup for riding pow. K+ as a thanks to anyone who gives actual helpful info.
