My point being that they do pick and choose from their holy texts just like any other religious group, but the parts they do choose are subjected to a very literal reading. I would also say that the fact that members of the organisation (i refuse to say state) identify as muslims makes them muslims, regardless of the objections from other adherents of Islam. Example: Some orthodox christians does not consider lutherans or catholics to be real christians, but to the outsider they are all christian because their believe in the same thing, the difference lies in how they practice their fath.

ISIS does not only have it's roots in Islam but is also an aspect of Islam. Many political leaders in Europe, and I believe Obama as well, have refused to call ISIS islamic. To me that is dishonest and only makes the situation more muddled. Recognizing that ISIS is a facet of Islam is not damning of the religion as a whole, not even of the sunni branch. Example: we know that the leadership of the catholic church suported fascist movements and parties before and during WW2 untill it was no longer advantageous for them, but we don't judge all catholics accordingly. Therefore I think we should apply the same kind of honesty toward Islam.

Yeah I think it's pretty obvious why most world leaders don't want to associate ISIS with the rest of Islam, I just don't think it's a good enough reason. They don't want to create more bigotry aimed at muslims and also not offend the muslim population. I'd like to think people are smart enough to differentiate between a muslim organisation and all muslims, but maby that's wishfull thinking. And I also think that in going out of their way to not offend muslims, when said muslims have no reason to be offended in the first place, those leaders/governments are inadvertently looking down on the muslim population. There has been no such surge in antichristian propaganda in western society simply because for a long time it has been a christian society. Even now when christianity is loosing it's grip on Europe and North America, these areas are still to a point culturally christian. Strong antichristian movments have happened but in Asia, the Middle east and northern Africa, partly why organisations such as ISIS is a problem to begin with. I'm quite familiar with how 401k type plans work.

Regardless of whether or not you have a 401k, you have to pay social security taxes (with exemptions for certain members of pension systems). Having a 401k does not make anyone exempt from paying social security taxes. Instead of paying social security, I propose that people be money simply be put in a 401k type plan or savings account of your choice that belongs solely to you, which would be required by law. This puts society off the hook for your retirement.

The current system is simply a transfer of wealth, the taxes paid now are simply going back out to someone's social security check. This is all done on the promise that once you get to be that age, then some young sucker will be paying your checks. Not to mention, a significant amount of social security checks go out to people with bogus disabilities (like being "too fat to work"). It's a legal government-run ponzi scheme. Furthermore, the government has already spent, (I'm sorry, "borrowed from itself" through bonds) any surplus from the social security trust.
