So about 5-6 years ago, I purchased my first pair of Full Tilt's. Being in college at the time, this was a huge purchase for me as boots are very expensive. I've been relatively happy with them, and have used them ever since. Swapping out parts as they broke, or pulling parts off old raichle boots I've found at a thrift shop. But, for the last six years, they have hurt.
Ive always just thought it was due to it being a skinny footbed. But at the start of this ski season I put them back on, and the pain had gotten too much. At this point I was thinking I might start looking into another pair, as I was having to quit skiing early because of the pain. At the end of one frustrating day, I decided I couldn't do it anymore and tried to figure out what the problem was. I pulled out the liner, looked around, wore them without the shell and noticed they fit much nicer. At this point I just happen to glance into the shell, and found this.

I have no idea what these are, or where they came from. But I have been standing on them for 5- 6 years of pain. At first I was relieved as I have found the source of my pain, but then I got a little mad that its been there so long. So I emailed Full Tilt customer service about this, and they responded saying pretty much "cool story bro."
Cool story bro.
