Hi all,
I'm looking to learn a little more about fun summer parks in Europe / Scandinavia for this year. I want to take a week off work to go skiing somewhere new, and wondered if any of you have any interesting suggestions.
Thanks NS!

for the alps, the timing of when you want to go really dictates where you'll be able to go, as the summer parks are open at differing times and to different extents
for example, most austrian parks close late may/early june, and then reopen in late aug or early sept (except hintertux). Zermatt is open year round, but their park isnt, Saas fee is closed until early july, and the frech parks are generally the same
Where are you coming from? Be aware that parks in europe generally aren't as good as those in north america, even at the mega resorts. I'm from canada, but live in switzerland now, and i generally find the parks weak compared to what i skied at home. Other people may argue, but you won't find the same mega features and plethora of rails you'll get during the winter at home.
In addition, the mountain towns in europe are generally quieter during the summer months, so if you're looking for apres etc, better off saving your money and coming during the winter

This summer I'll go to Les Deux-Alpes and it will be my fourth summer there! Park is really nice even in August and this little city has a lot of activities to do in the afternoon (you know, you ski only in the morning) and a lot of them are free if you have a week pass...
I've seen a lot of videos from Saas-Fee and it looks so damn fun! I've also some friends shredding Zermatt and Dachstein, but I think it's more a snowboard park, there aren't so many skiers there... And not forget about Tignes, never been there and haven't seen many videos, but some French dudes told me it's very nice...
If you accept a suggestion go to L2A: sick park, nice people, sick afternoon activities and a crazy nightlife! You won't be disapppointed!
All times are Eastern (-5)
