Also Park City is known for having a good park. Mad River Glen is known for being an all natural classic mountain. Squaw Valley is known for hosting the olympics, the squallywood attitude, and McConkey. Sunday River and Killington are both known for opening early.

Boreal- only if you're Good Enough
Squaw- the mountain that thinks they're better than Mammoth
Northstar- you'll probably get rekt by a snowboarder
Breck- worlds best jumps, also lots of pro hoes
Keystone- rails or gtfo
heavenly- i still ski moguls in the 90s

Squaw is quite a bit steeper than Mammoth. There is much more of a variety of steep terrain. I would rather ski Squaw than Mammoth most of the time, although Mammoth does have its points.

Scaling back a bit, my hill Holiday Valley is the Vail of small East coast resorts. $850 season pass for a 750 foot hill with below average snowfall compared to other hills around here as well as a mediocre park. Just a bunch of rich fucks who can't ski basically.

ya but squaw doesn't get snow, there park sucks always, and the runs are shorter than mammoth, and they have terrible lift lines. Mammoth's big mtn scene may not be as large as squaw, but the cliffs and steeps are equally intense in my opinion. Plus mammoth stays open almost a month later than squaw

Ruapehu - Insane ice

Insane winds, Epic views, great in bounds and out of bounds lines, lots of aucklanders noobing it up, people sending it off anything with more than 4 cm of "powder", people lining up for the lifts hours before they open even on the worst days.

Bachelor: Snobby riders, huge lift lines, way overpriced, good all around skiing

Meadows: Great parks, Stellar terrain, dryer snow

Timberline: Awesome terrain parks, really flat

Ski Bowl: No snow or Icy (if there is snow) but good terrain

Anthony Lakes: Powder, laid back vibes, no lift line and super cheap

Yup. It's crazy. I actually just looked up what the prices of season passes are for HV because now is the cheapest you can get them. $850(full season) is the cheapest your gonna pay. Shit is ridiculous. An Epic Pass is $80 cheaper for fucks sake.

Hahahaha Jesus KB...still running the same old shitty lifts(actually had a minor rollback this year). Fired the entire park crew after drug testing them. Moved the main park to twister and the mini park on holly... Just a complete mess all season.

Anyways, yeah that's true. It's just crazy how it all works out. I know Vail is a huge corporation and they make a shit ton of money on day tickets alone so they can sell season passes that cheap. It's just crazy to think about skiing 10 actual mountains for a cheaper price than a single hill in wny. It's all relative though I guess.

eh i don't sweat kb's lifts since it's such a tiny resort. the old park lap was like 6 minutes if you were mobbin. firing the park crew tho? i didn't hear about that, that's fucked. when ricky took over the park it was sick, and everyone knows they crush hella. fuckin bureaucrats ruin everything fuuuuuuuuuck

the real answer to this is to bitch out and move west. #worth

Weird that no one has mentioned A-Basin yet. Always the first to open and the last to close as far as colorado goes. Parties on the beach and probably the most local of the I-70 central resorts. (Loveland is a close second.) The basin is where you go to get fucked up and be stupid and have way too much fun because well, everywhere else is closed and you're to lazy to earn your turns.
