Bootfitting in Whistler

Soooo I'm from Denmark and I'm passing by Whistler this summer and I was thinking whether or not it would be possible to go to a boot fitter. The danish shops haven't really got the best expertise on this i feel...
What would be the best place to go?

Tom Pietrowski is a member on here and boot fits like a mad man. Check out his recent boot reviews, really good stuff. I'm seriously considering road tripping 10 hours to get fit by him

Yeah just message Tom what store he's manager at. I think it was the Skiinn or something right near the Hilton but I can't remember. But yeah Tom is god when it comes to boots. Go to him and forget about everything you want and just let him guide you.

If that fails. I think most boot shops will be out of ski mode during the summer except for Surefoot maybe?

Surefoot is the worst place on the planet to get your boots fitted. Their "custom footbeds" are really one of 12 templates that are half-assedly shaped to fit. Go see Tom, you won't regret it.

i end up fixing surefoot fits all the time in the winter because some of their "fitters" are either lazy or unknowledgable about the differences between boots, instead just relying on their injection mold to do most of the work. i wouldn't recommend going there unless you know a specific name for a fitter. a lot of people are able to do punches and grinds, but really you just want to get the boot that's closest to the shape of your foot to begin with, then do small adjustments from there. so yeah, listen to their recommendations and be honest with the feedback you give while trying the boot on, because you're the one who's foot is in there.

toms your man!

his the only person i now trust with my boots. I've worked with him back here in the uk and have seen his work first hand. He sorted out my boots which i didn't think was possible.

his also a pretty cool guy :)

Pretty sure Tom works at CanSki in the village.

Overall, Fanatiko is the best IMO.

If you are looking for new boots. If Mcconkey is still working, I'd go see him. Forget what shop he was working out of.

To be clear, I've never bought a boot from surefoot. All I'm saying is if this guy is coming to Whistler in the summer, they are probably the only place that will be open to fit boots.
