schommi97hey i just turned 18 and i wanted to keep competing in free ride events. can you guys give me some advises on the people and the level of these events?
Ryanvdonkwhat kind of advise do you want? the events are pretty straight forward, fall line skiing with speed is rewarded more than zig-zagging and adding up lots of small airs. from what the younger guys have told me the level is not crazy compared to some of the junior comps, but just the size of the field who has a chance is way bigger, so instead of like the top 5 people being the ones who could win out of the event it's more like 75% (30-40) of the field who can put down a run with a shot. people are pretty nice, just talk to people during inspection, you can get a least some idea of what people are looking at skiing.
Brocka_FlockaWell, you're in the EU which is way gnarlyer than the US. but the key to any freeride even is good skiing. Not jumps, tricks how big you go (all though these do help).
