Revision Skis

Has anyone heard of/used these before? Are they good?

Saw that they are almost 50% off and was wondering if they are worth it.

awesome ski! ive been riding mine and abusing the crap out of them for awhile now. really nice flex pattern but still poppy small camber is nice but still gives good grip, few edge cracks but of course that always happens to a ski, top sheet chipping is miniscule it goes from sammy underfoot to capped on the tips. the rivets popped on me fairly quick but revision was super snappy on sending out upgraded ones and a little care package. i ride em daily on mt hood snow and rarely wax and theyve been holding up nice to the spring rocks and couple pavement skims. id recommend them for sure!
they also can charge all mountain no problem!

I went on a trip with a couple of the team guys in March, they had nothing but good things to say about the subtractions.
I'm just getting in my first week on my new talismans here at Hood for WCS. They're a lot of fun, fairly soft but poppy and sweet.
Cool company.

you should be fine brotha! i got a mtn employee pro form that got it down to 280 shipped for me. amazon is good about faulty or misplaced product.

sklar i think we ran into each other the other day on norms. im the lifty with the revisions and orange full tilts

great ski for the price! bought them for cheap last summer and was happy with them. first time on wider park skis and had tones of fun on them, i found them really smooth on jumps. for rails presses and back slides were easier but spins out and switch ups were more difficult. i center mounted them but they still ripped turns of the groomers and i was about to take them in the BC do some east coast pow.
i skied hard this year and my revisions took some damage (ski mostly rails), but they have held up. a few number of edge cracks (no pull out), a few core shops that were repaired.
overall good ski for the price and would recommend to anyone who wants a wider ski. for the next ski tho, i think ill go to something a bit skinnier for better edge to edge control on the rails.

i had mine snap in half pretty early in the season, however they were warrantied quickly and i am still riding them. super fun ski, i find it pretty stable all around the park and it does decently in powder.

The spoon nose is pretty shallow of a tip but has good early rise, helps the flex I think and float in the powder, but it got me one time doing a nollie on the first part of a whale tail and buried both my tips and scorpioned hard on my poles. Cracked a couple ribs on that one

sick skis, i rode a talisman prototype last year. definitely on the stiff side but theyre super stable on everything, have a nice solid swing weight. pretty durable, i got lots of topsheet chipping but everything else was decent. good skis from a small company, go for em

stiff?? maybe the prototype was really different...

anyway, literally the only thing i don't love about them is that theyre soft, but i just prefer stiffer skis, it wasn't any surprise that they were soft, and they really dont ski as soft as a hand flex would have you believe IMO

i love the shape, and have used them for everything from rails to a pow day and they kill it dude. im impressed with the durability so far too-- i abuse the hell out of my skis and theyre taking it really well. ive gone over a lot of rocks with almost no damage.. the only core shot i got was from landing on a rock off a cliff and you can't really ask a ski to withstand that

shoot me any questions you have on them, i usually don't mess with new companies (though i guess this isnt the revision folks' first rodeo) but i got these cheap last year and ive been really impressed. hell, make them stiffer and ill buy another pair right now...

I saw next years model with same top sheet but blood red splatter, the homie was saying they made bases and edges thicker but tail a bit softer. Which I think is crazy cause after mine have broke in you can just lean back and pull em up pretty easy.

yeah i did notice the tips are lower than most skis i compare them to. i wonder what the actual pros and cons of that are...?

Flex isn't changing for next year, but we will be raising the tip and going to thicker edge and base materials. Appreciate the interests!

Weird, my pair were super stiff but I know they experimented with a few versions of photos. Anyways yea super fun playful ski

Bring this back up, tuning my skis I noticed one of my tails is bent I haven't over shot anything or stabbed them in to snow so I'm kinda curious, the bend starts about4inches behind heel piece looks like a rocker ski. Still rides fun just less contact on that ski

for balance on rails, i would say not really. skinnier skis on rails make it take less effort to do switch ups and what not, but not so much on the balance thing.

and stability, for park jumps i wouldnt say it really helps much, but say your sending a few cliffs and boosting all over the mountain, a wider ski does help more for stability while landing.
