Because terrain parks cost an insane amount to build/maintain. I know for fact cat time at Whistler in the summer is $250/hour. Diggers/Coaches/Staff all have to get paid as well...
costs add up quick. The owners of the camps do well, but they aren't taking home insane amounts of money every summer.

they have to make all their money for the year in a couple short months in most cases.
