Premiere Pro Editing Question

Quick question here... How do I cut two separate clips together rapidly (think: to a snare drum beat) without having to do so manually? I am sure that it has something to do with keyframes but I have not been able to find an explanation or tutorial online after searching for a while. Here is a music video that came to mind when thinking of the effect (0:50):



A link to a youtube tutorial should be sufficient... Thanks for the help ahead of time!

How I would have done it before reading this thread is the manual way I guess, which would be just cutting up one of the layers, correct?

However, I just played around in premiere a bit, and what you could do is keyframe the opacity of your Video Layer 2. Basically, just keep keyframing the opacity from 0, to 100, to 0, to 100, over and over again super quickly. Like frame by frame.

Does that make sense?

It may be easier to have the clip on track 2, then got to track 1, zoom way in, and delete every other frame. It will only show track 2 when nothing is on track 1, and at least this way you don't have to set a values for each frame for both clips.
