Following a post from theabortianator on how orgasmic a well shaped kicker can be, post up your favourite, best shaped jumps, that you've made or not. Doesn't have to be huge, if you have a perfectly shaped rail lip go ahead. Keep the quality good too guys
We cut out a kicker out of the left wall off the 1/2 pipe, into a step up to the knuckle of the first jump of the jump line. Good times, thank god Aryeh rules at shaping and shooting.
I have better pictures on my phone but apparently never put them on my computer. I'll do it sometime or never
Anyway, I really liked this jump because it's one of the first jumps in a major slopestyle in 10+ years to have something different. Xgames had a channel gap in 08 ish, there were some cannons, but there really hasn't been much but straight 3 or 4 packs for a decade +. I remember early on when things used to be creative. The rails have come a long way and it was great to see a different style jump. Also it didn't hurt that I got to do a cutting on it and made it my bitch with a rake throughout the contest.
Clean lines have always been something I've loved and have been so stoked about the jumps in recent years. Also seeing that perfection in some of the smallest places out there.
Schneestern is probably my favorite company. If I could work for anyone it'd be them. That's just a dream but I'll dream to that errrry night if I can. They build some beautiful shit. The function is absolutely on point which is crucial but it's so fucking pretty, and they've been doing it for quite a while.
Between Nine Knights, the Nike Events, and some of there other stuff it's just stunning.
/It's late, I'm a little fucked up and tired, and I'll shut the fuck up now
-emile-is this implying that Stoya is good looking ?
Not as much as what you get to see nowadays, but if you don't know what you're doing you should probably not go play with her, just like big bertha
VinnieFit's implying she looks like a sheep.
Or that.
Not a just a kicker, but I mean the shaping on those bowls are just next level :O
The big kicker line at my home moutain is ALWAYS so well shaped (too bad that's the only thing the talented park crew chooses to get right over toking 24/7 at the hut...)
A few weeks ago i had a chance to shape this baby in Avoriaz (France).
Main kicker is a steep trajectory stepdown, 18m to sweetspot, the two smaller ones are 12m and 8m. The whale behind the big kicker has a 3m gap in and a 3m gap out over the knuckle and could also be transfered into from the two smaller kickers. On skiers left there's also a small kicker of death that drops into a hip.

im sorry but some of those kickers like the last one just look like the long ski jump, theres no pop. Im just saying i hate kickers like that because you never know how to throw the trick without that pop at the end. It just feels like standing on flat ground and trying a cork 7. no fun

centered kicker has plenty of pop and the two smaller ones were flatter to enable easier transitions on and over the whale.

Those look like they have plenty of pop. IT's all about transition. You could make them steeper if you made them taller but just throwing the ends up super steep is whack imo.
Nothing worse than not even wanting to take speed into a jump because the tranny is bad and it throws you upside down/feels like hitting a wall.
Jumps look mellow from the top and side a lot but if you see the same jump from the knuckle above/the inrun it'll look a lot steeper.
I don't mind jumps that give you a ton of air if they're lofty but some people still build jumps with far too much compression and they really don't ride nicely.
