Summer camp you learned the most at?

Just be happy with your decision and if you'll be stoked, you'll learn a ton of new stuff no matter where. With summer camps it's mostly the awesome atmosphere wich gets you hyped and motivated to seriously send it!

I did mhssc and windells two summers ago and last summer I did coc and momentum. I can tell you right now that your backyard setup is your best bet. Go to a skatepark its summer.

I just want to go where I will learn the most possible. Yeah i will learn more if I try and I plan on it but where has the best possible coaching. Any of the camps have awesome coaching - some have slightly different styles than others but you can't go wrong with Windells.

Just too bad you didn't do Newschoolers week (Session 2)!

Buy a summer ski pass for blackcomb glacier and just ride COC and Momentum's parks + summer public park. If you really want the coaching stand within earshot of the groups with their coaches.

I've been to Windells twice and I would not believe that a camper saw a coach in the bathroom with a needle in his arm. Yes, some of that stuff does go on but mostly by the campers (toned down though, I don't think that your average camper is shooting heroin). The amount that you're going to learn is all on you, if you don't make goals/ask your coach about tricks that you want to learn, chances are is that you won't learn much, and the coach will focus on the most enthusiastic and willing to learn campers in your group. But if you do ask your coach for tips and how to do things, you will most likely learn it. I feel as if the larger camps like Windells and Momentum and all kinda that way (I can't speak for Momentum though, I've never been), but that's just an assumption. You will have a hell of a time either way, and the chances of you not having a super rad coach who will try his or her hardest to engage with you and help you learn are slim to none.

really though when it gets down to it, you can have the best coaches in the world and still not learn jack shit. It's all about you wanting to try new stuff. The main thing a camp is going to do is provide things like air bags and stuff to make you confident. Your coach isn't going to whisper some magical voodoo spell that will make you do dub 12s. When choosing a camp I would look more at things like the camps facilities and how much fun people have.
