The shaky footage edits need to stop.

Making an edit with 90% of shaky footage with snow on the lenses needs to stop. We get it you are trying to be raw and core , well you still can be with out causing the viewers to get motion sickness. there is a reason why this fad died in the 90s for skateboarding because it sucks.

You don't need that stuff to flim steady, and I'm talking more about groups and companies that can spend the money on it. The bunch and Vishnu for example they can spend the money to flim solid shots. I got 40 seconds into Vishnu new edit and I had to stop, the skiing was good the filming and editing not so much. I understand it is all branding the company as raw and urban but feels so awful 90s skate vid. Those are just two groups for examples and there are penlty more out there that do the same.

no we suggest that you focus on filming and not skiing, and buy some sort of stabilizing device such as a 30 dollar cam caddie, or go pole, or make a 30 dollar diy glidecam.
Or spend no money at all, and just focus on keeping the camera steady

that thing isn't gonna do anything even close to what a glidecam can do. and glidecams are already difficult to use

Never said anything about a glidecam. just talking about making the footage less shaky and that would do it.

we're pretty big on candid style filming because that's how you capture the most genuine content as opposed to with expensive cameras that take time to setup.

Canon Powershot and the Snapchat app on your smartphone are two the of best cameras out right now. That doesn't mean that because you're using sub-standard video equipment your should have bad angles and shaky filming, it just often goes hand in hand to have shaky dad filming with the shaky dad cam.

hey op, i'll pm you my address, so you can send me a glide cam ok? as for the snow sprayed cam I got you covered.

If you're referring to edits with good tricks/style that have this kind of filming, 1) it's their fucking choice to make them the way they want, and if they're good they're definitely going for that raw style
2) I and a lot of people actually dig the hell out of those edits, perfectly contrasting the mutli$$$budget of redbull style videos, which are also enjoyable.

So op, whilst your opinion really is interesting, you might wanna share it with us in a way that is not so aggressive and authoritative.

In fact, i think people should shake more, just for the stoke!
