First mini teaser for a travel video project

Here's a first very short teaser of a video project I will release at the end of the summer. The main goal of the project is to show people how awesome trips and outdoor activies can be and that they are a lot more accessible that we think.

This project will mainly include nature shots and outdoors sports (including but not limited to skiing)

Logo looks good but the animation for it doesn't look that great. Honestly I'd keep it simple and just fade in the logo without the weird animation.

I didn't mind the animation, but the shots were very repetitive even though it was only 18 secs. Where is the action?

doing the double shot thing with a slightly different angle was a bad choice imo, felt out of place and slightly boring

I agree with all three of the gentlemen above. Shots felt real repetitive for how short this was (and not that smooth) Logo spin felt a little like something I used to use in Windows Movie Maker and I didn't feel the slightly different angles.

What is the point of this video? It is the "stoke factor" so maybe get us stoked? Show us something really rad, not just that you went and got some stock shots at Yosemite and some waterfall. IDK, just my .02

Kinda tried to reach a larger audience here but clearly I was too much on a "nature is awesome" bubble and forgot to include actual action shots. I'll try switching some of the repetitive shots with action shots and see what I get ,thanks!

The point of the teaser was to attract a larger audience with nature shots, but seeing skiers' reactions I visibly lost the other half of that audience. I'll def have to work on that teaser and add action.

I actually quite like the logo animation, think it might look better if it were white though.

Not sure if it's just my computer, but the cuts weren't all 100% in time with the music.

Post the final thing in this thread when it comes out! Sounds like an interesting project

Forgot to post the final result here but I followed your advices and tried to create a balanced of actual action shots with some more artsy ones. Also tried something a little different for the animation and logo and I'm pretty stoked on the result:
