Got me thinking earlier, who would you nominate for a spot in a hypothectical freeskiing hall of fame and why? Most popular suggestions get inducted.

Gotta say Henrik.
Maybe not at the moment, but after his time has past he will definitely be one of the biggest legends.
First nosebutter dub (both ways) and trip and sw tail butter dub, skier of the year twice now?, his influential style, 2 time X-games big air gold medalist, some of the illest segments out there, the dreads, his attitude, the list goes on. Henrik, imo, is the epitome of Freeskiing.

The fact that no one has said Jon Olsson is shocking. He basically started the double trend, JOI, JOSS, and a bunch of podiums. I don't know how he wouldn't be in there.

And i dont see why david wise is even getting mentioned. Hes good and is one of the tops in pipe skiing rn but he hasnt done what simon or tanner have done in the pipe yet. Ive never even heard of him till like the 2013 x games.. If your throwing him in the mix you could put torin in..and thats stupid becuase theyre both young and have plenty of time left in the sport.

That;s what I was trying to think of. Knew I was leaving out a few big ones. That would have been one I def would have added.

And I agree that just because somebody is good at the moment doesn't mean they should be thrown in.

The first couple years of the double wagon jon was leading that charge hard in skiing.

As far as the "Hows has nobody said______" I think people though of maybe 4 people they though def needed to be in there, clicked the thread, saw those names already there and were like ohhhhhh. At least that's what I did.

Don't sports HoF inductions take place at least a few years after the athlete has retired, so they can be based around their legacy rather than the present day 'this guy is killing it' hype?

So right now, I'd be nominating people like Shane McConkey, Doug Coombs, JP Auclair. People like Henrik, Candide, T-Wall, hell even Tanner Hall and Mike Douglas are still out their, still killing it, we still don't know their legacy, so they aren't yet hall of fame-rs. Not to say they aren't on the 'greatest ever' list, but we don't really appreciate the impact individuals have on a sport until they've left it. Like Brogan.

Like, take legends in other sports who are still playing. Roger Federer? Not in HoF. Tiger Woods? Nope. Tim Duncan? You guessed it, no. Why should freeskiing be any different and allow current pros in?
