POC are also more likely to receive a harsher sentence for the same crime than a white person.
All these factors create a cycle of poverty within the POC community. It's all they know. Just like I was born into a well off family and sent to a good school, I will send my kids to a good school and the cycle will continue. POC are born into poverty and crime and so the cycle continues. The system is created to lump POC together into ghettos. So then they can use crime statistics to justify racism.

Also crime is a choice, not an inevitability. Many, I'd even say most, minorities are legal and hardworkers even when in poverty and still pay taxes and are good citizens. But let's list more reasons why America should listen to Baltimore. A white person with the exact same grades is 78% more likely to be accepted into university than a POC with the exact same grades.
A white male with a criminal record is 58% more likely to be accepted into a job than a POC with no criminal record to the exact same job.
