EDolloStoneLet me preface this by saying: I can be a little tough on people, i am trying to help, not hurt feelings...
Okay, the good:
-You have a story
-it has a message
-you tried
the bad:
-Acting
-2.35 used 110% terribly
-Exposures were off as well as white balance felt kinda off..
-the shot of you going arround the car as he gets in it to leave (felt awkward, more documentary style than it should have been)
Technical aspects:
-the first shots of him outside the house were overexposed, and looked pretty blown out (atleast on my monitor)
-credits, why why why on earth would you have credits, sure they can be done well, and yes, there are ways to do it, but having your name 6 times when there might have been 6 other people on the list makes you seem arrogant and, atleast for me, makes me dislike your film and your style.
even more specifically, if you are going to give someone for being the boom operator in your video itself (as opposed to in the description or something) you better sure as hell have some good audio, not what was in this video.
Same with director of photography, you have to have the film look good if you want to draw attention to the fact you were the "director of photography"
I can go on and on about the credits, all the way down to titling it credits, do you think people would not know what it was if you said "thanks to" at the top of your credit roll? of course they would.
In the end (sorry i am kind of destroying your video) i feel like spending time perfecting your video, rather than trying to play up your "Production" name would be in your best interest. It felt rushed, the whole thing, if the actors were to sit down, read the lines, and try to memorize them rather than having their eyes look around between the camera and what seemed to be the lines somewhere in front of them, it would help immensely. I feel like, you are selling yourself short by rushing a video like this, it doesnt feel natural at all, and definitly find new actors.
On the positive side, it can only get better...
