Landin big airs

So my friends and I built this boot and its about 100 feet from take off to landing, but my problem is is that like I get into the air fine and am balanced and can throw downa solid grab off it but No matter what I can't land it my body kinda slups when I hit the ground and I fall back, why do I do that?

em dude... you dont have your landing technique down but your hitting a hundred footer. beyond that it might just be too far off a drop that your body is compressing too much and going back

ya one tip of advice from personal experince dont get to far forward or you do a narly face plant then your face will swell up. chicks dig it though

Dude I know how to land, we bould a 60 footer, then a 75 footer and those went fine but now for some reason its like my body just doesn't wanna stand up to it. I hit and then just lay over its weird. I'll try postin a vid of it when I figure out my damn GL2 or throw upa sequence shot

its not like 100 vertical feet, its 100 feet from where we take off to the landing mebbe 90 but its right there, and No its like reached like a breakin point or something does anyone here have any clue?

Knotbox its back country onlike a 40 degree slopes, and no it took one day with six guys to build and there is like 4 feet of powder, see its not that I don't have the strength I mean when I land the other booters I don't collapse much at all and this is bigger but not big enough to do that.

well at 100ft with 4ft of pow and 168 skis I think landing would be a little difficult weather your legs are strong or not.

well, i believe it, if you hit a jump and theres a 40 degree hill right under the take off, you can get pretty far pretty quick.

it could be that your legs need to be stronger, as well as your stomach

your an idiot did you really think people would believe you? 100 ft yeah okay buddy I dont give a shit whether its BC or not thats bigger then the average jumps pros hit I think you built a pretty good sized jump and looked at it launched off it and it SEEMED like 100ft But I garuntee you didnt build a 100ft jump. I'll believe you when you post a vid of it. And if you did build it you didnt hit a limit or whatever you just have weak leags if the landing is so steep it should be easy if you can keep your balance in the air.

yah on a 40 degree slope, wouldn't a 100ft kicker also involve 40 ft of verticle drop from takeoff to landing plus however much you boost off of the lip, unless u meant just the landing was 40 degrees

I believe that its 100 feet, or atleast looks like 100 feet. Either way, its a monster, right? If your on 168s and there is 4 ft of snow, that could just be your problem, the vids you see where they land huge bc booter, theyre on monster skis, 185+. Just keep at it, and lean a bit more foward... if there is that much snow, it wont hurt to faceplant

Often when i go bigger than expected or am hitting a bigger jump for the first time i tend land and then do the back flop. For me it's about being intimidated, in my head I'm scared to land normal, so I collaspe on the landing. It might sound lame, but visualize sticking it, might help.

Yeah I'll just make another tjhread on Sunday and I';ll take some pics, you can see the vid in our trailer on like Th;e first weekend of february. Thanks for the pople that were helpful and yeah what gives you guys the idea that someone can't so a hundred footer? If you've tried you'd shut up cuz you don't know. I'll assume you're telling the truth.

You have to land with your weight in the proper location given the dynamics of the jump. If you're weight is too far back, you fall backwards. Rocket science, eh? Just keep hitting it until you get your weight balanced over your skis.

I agree some of the other people though: if you're hitting 100 foot booters, you should probably already know the answer to your question.

youre just too scared, that happens to most people on huge jumps, they just give up on the landing because they are intimidated. i do that a lot on new hucks, on skis and on my bike

If the jump is on a 40 degree slope, thats a lot of compression from in-run to takeoff, which probably throws you off balance easily. Also, at 40 degrees, theres a 65 ft vertical distance between take off and landing if you are traveling 100 ft, so thats a lot of compression on the landing. Most large gaps that pros hit don't have a drop nearly that big, its more of a gap.

the landing is a 40 degree slope its on sort of a convexity and it took 6 guys one day to build. I won't have poics till Sunday cuz I can't go till saturday cuz of school but yeah no prob I'll just post back then. I think that Rossi has it thats what I am thinkin is that I am so scared that I just givin but I was trying to figure out how to over come that
