Marker Griffon heel piece removal

Somehow I managed to snap off the wings from the part of the heelpiece that goes over the heel lip of the boot. I have a spare Griffon heel piece and assumed I would be able to interchange them without removing the rail it attaches to but I can't seem to figure it out. Anybody know if this is possible? Or do I need to unscrew the rail in order to change it?

turn the screw on the heel on the back (the one closest to the back) so the heel piece moves forward- I believe it's to the right, but I haven't done it in a while. Keep screwing until you can't anymore and the heel should slide off the front of the track. Slide the other heel on and screw back into the same place.
Note that by touching that screw you are messing with your forward pressure. So to set the forward pressure on the binding: click your boot in, if you can't click in turn the screw until your boot fits. Once in, look again at the screw in the rear, it should be sitting flush with the housing, if it isn't adjust it until it is. If you are confused just take it into a shop.
