iLLbiLLyI did the same thing last year. Try this:
hold your hurt thumb horizontal with the back of your hand facing you. Take your other thumb and put it right at the bottom of the base of your thumb (on the joint that connect your thumb to your hand). Gently take your index finger and apply downwards pressure against the tip of your hurt thumb. If you've completely torn your UCL ligament, you'll notice that there is nothing stoping it from moving in this direction. Compare with your healthy thumb.
I'd recommend getting this fixed ASAP if you get bad results. The ligament is tiny and waiting too long can make it very hard to repair and heal.
