whats with people these days and always finding something to say with the way a jump looks on an urban rail shot. another thing is the snow on the stairs people always complain about. i know when i hit an urban rail i dont go out of my way to add or remove snow from stairs if it's there it's there who cares. and you make the jump as high or as low as you feel neccessary, does it really matter? stop all the hatin.

true...im not pro i cant like ollie 10 feet of a lil bumb...i mean just ski the rails...why would you take the time to take snow off the stairs...just ski it

Word, yeah people hated on our urban jibbing jumps, but the rails were burly, so yeah hating on something that is huge cant happen, and snow on stairs=not as ripped up skis

yeah id do anything to protect my skis as much as possible. besides...taking snow off stairs = more time to get busted by cops = less session time

big kicks to rails suck, it just takes soo much difficulty off ne ways, people can ride how they want, but when your filming its looks better with a small kicker and stairs

it doesnt matter, i know that in some cases a big kicker is neccesary. so people shouldnt judge from a picture unless they were there.

its more of a challenge, and more professional looking to have smaller kickers/ollie pads. and its an added bonus to clean the stairs. however, these guidlines can be bypassed depending on the gnarliness of the rail, or if your just out to have fun and not necessarily push yourself.

fuck it man. all that matters is sliding from the top of the rail to the bottom. how you get on doesnt matter at all because in the end all that matters is you slid the rail. granted smaller kicks are harder, but really, does it matter? i think im just fed up with it because it seems like its become a fad to make fun of big urban rail kickers, its stupid. just ski and have fun.

i agree with some of what you said. especially for vids on ns, people shouldnt just key on certain less important aspects of jibs such as snow on stairs, while ignoring the rail itself. its not like theres a cut and dry method to go about jibbing or anything.

but...watching ski movies is where i get critical. it puts a smile on my face to see dash and tanner popping of tiny ollie pads onto gnarly rails, whereas i get disappointed to see other 'top end' pros making jumps the size of the rail. in these movies, its all about professionalism, and unkempt stairs and large jumps certainly arent very prefessional as far as urban jibbing is concerned.

ok i can agree with you on that/\ but for unprofessional jibbing; jibbing for the sake of putting a smile on your own face. do whatever the hell needs to be done to get your ass down that rail, thats my philosophy.

how bout we all just watch lars veen in pass it on cause he skis down a flight of stairs for an in run then ollies onto a ledge, no snow moving of any kind. its fuckin sick to the maxxx.

dash is the best about getting on urban rails, i want to try the flat ground to ollie up on that wood rail where he pushes on it w/ his hand in dubski. that was crazy.

whatever works for people looking just to do the rail... and yea the pros should be working at harder ways to get on it, and ollieing onto it seems the best way for that... as for the snow on the stairs, you kinda have to see the stairs... i kinda thought people used the snow on the stairs to help make the pad or 'roll in'...

right i agree with you guys as far as pros and im not disagreeing with the fact that smaller kickers are rad and are way harder. there is absolutely no reason to make fun of somebody for having a larger than average kicker though, you know what i'm sayin? people are trend whores and that seems to be the latest trend, lets all make fun of big kickers! half the people that make comments like that probably cant even slide rails in the park.
