Design your own park skis?!

We have been designing and building custom skis for almost 10 years now. We used to stock a model of park ski, but after breaking my back and neck in the park at Big Sky, MT, we sort of drifted into more of a powder ski theme.

After inadvertently making a carbon fiber park ski early this year, we ended up with a bunch of interest in a new model of park ski, and a few orders for custom park skis.

We were toying around with the idea of a limited edition of custom park skis - basically a huge discount custom skis; any shape, graphics, flex you name it...

The Catch? Each ski needs to be unique and make at least one change from any others. The goal is to take the results of these custom skis to build a newschoolers inspired park ski...

Thoughts and interest?!

perfect for me would be : 182cm 120/94/120 40cm length of rocker each end and 5mm of camber rise. stiff underfoot medium flex tips 50/50 burliness/lightness ratio.

Something 95 in the waist, symmetrical, 183 length, 20M turn radius

very slight early rise in the nose and tail

stiff so it has a fucking set

two plates of steel that goes under foot and tac weld the edges underfoot to the metal

rivet the nose and tail

rubber dampeners in the nose and tail to reduce vibration directly to the tips which I probably delam in ten days(about how long my skis last in big sky and how my skis have exploded in the last 4 years)

ptex sidewalls so I can easily repair sidewalls,

use whatever base material lib tech or on3p uses. most durable base for big sky. I tune skis at big sky and the only bases that last are lib tech and on3p.


Basically make me skis that don't break and last a season. I'm getting tired of the bullshit durability in the industry for my riding style. Unless its pressed with steel its going to delam in 10 days. Steel should not be necessary to keep skis from vibrating apart though.

120-88-120with a durable side wall underfoot that turns to cap. Make it buttery in the tips and a medium to stiff flex underfoot. Have a symeterical camber rocker profile that has rocked of 10mm up 150mm long in tip and tail with 4mm camber. And make it super light and poppy

I think for another pair, 122 - 95 - 122, with everything else the same would be rad. A little more width for backcountry kickers, a little more turny for carving into jumps. They also offer a Kevlar (think bullet proof vest) binding plate for sliding rails - sidewalls are still holding strong on my skis!

Honestly rayzrblaydz have most of those attributes. Same construction as on3p, same bases, same edges, vulcanized rubber, ect.

Looking for steel underfoot to help prevent binding pullouts and looking for a new design or way of thinking about your edges underfoot. Kitten Factory is dope though and I have rode on carbon pows for a day. They are great guys that make a very good product.

ahhh so youre on the next level stuff. i see. ive honestly thought about instead of a base underfoot, using a small piece of lightweight but strong metal so when youre hitting rails it would be metal on metal. but then i wonder if that would make sliding rails super sticky and you wont actually slide that well. that probly doesnt make any sense but ill try to check back here a little later as im short on time rn

I would rock a fully semmetrical ski (slightly slimmer in tail) with early rise tip and tail and tons of camber underfoot to be hella poppy. Probly 100 underfoot and maybe 120 or so in the tip and tail. And a short turn radius as well to bang out some euro carves. That with custom graphics and custom base design would make me wanna cop a pair.

I think he meant symmetrical core profile, slightly less than symmetrical shape - which is a super fun style ski. The sym. core gives good even swing weight, while the slightly off sym. shape is more conducive to less than 50% switch skiing.
