JoJo-yAlso, my friend Chelsea (icecoastgirl) went to the snowflex games to compete last week. We were the only female skiers and the first ones to actually compete at the games in six year. They ended up judging us with the female snowboarders so we would have a chance at taking home some cash since they obviously weren't going to hand us checks for just showing up. It all worked out in the end and was really such a blast but, it'd be awesome to see some more lady skiers out there competing next year!
cddlswthsqrrlsI've been thinking about it and I'm not really into competing but I think next year I might go down to compete! I saw coverage from the guys comp, any word if there was any of the girls? I would love to watch it!
JoJo-yUnfortunately, they didn't film the ladies. It would have been cool but I guess I can understand why they wouldn't. There's a lot less excitement at least for the crowd. I strongly encourage you to compete next year. Even if you are not into competitions, it's a ton of fun, so relaxed, and it really doesn't feel like a competition at all. I think it was only 25$ to enter. It's pretty much like buying a lift ticket and skiing with your friends all day. Everyone was super nice and encouraging too. I cannot wait for next year!
