Anybody driving from Utah/CO heading to the east coast with a vehicle that could tow a car, or room for my stuff if I sell mine?

RENT a car.


Preferably 1 way rental you drop off back east. Give Hertz a try they have a lot of local pick up places and good online prices not too tough to rent with only debit and no credit.


IF you cannot rent a car conventionally and 1 way do to your credit situation or what not that means you need a return flight. So book yourself something like 10 days of rental car and a flight out of denver that is fully refundable the day the car is due back. Cancel flight after you pick up car.



Get a full size if its the same money btw.


7 days of a rental car is rarely more than 250 bucks.

Just trying to figure out what the fuck to do. Just got my car back and it instantly broke. Thinking of trying to tow it back to the east coast where my buddy can fix it, or maybe sell it here as is, and then roll back with somebody east.

I shower regularly, have good conversation skills, and can just chill and shut the fuck up and enjoy the road trip as well.

Rear dif went, fixed rear dif, rear dif went again. Hoping it was something dumb like the tires, and that the trans is fine. Hoping I can pull this off and roll back in style, maybe even risk it and see oregon finally.

You could try posting a thread over on subaruforester.org about your issue and there is a pretty decent chance someone over there will know what it is and could maybe tell you how to fix it or direct you to a thread on how to fix it.

Im gonna have someone take a look at the trans and make sure everything is good. If everything is good will probably replace the dif again. Hopefully I can get another one cheap again.

Might b line it for PA. Have a buddy there that's a legit mechanic and owns and works on subarus regularly. Have road tripped and been to a bunch of shows with him and hell hook me up.

Now I just gotta figure out how to get my car over to vail. Worst case I can tow it but I hate droppin 100 bucks and not even having anything fixed.



Anybody in Eagle county want AAA plus? It's like 120 a month and you get 4 tows a year, 24 roadside assistance for gas and stuff. Might as well just buy somebody AAA for a year rather than waste the loot on the tow.

If things need to get real, I'll post some pics and vids.

Hoping I can get the car in good shape, I was really looking forward to making a kickstarter to put hydraulics on it so I can bounce around the lot like a boss.

With a welder and some duct tape I feel like I'm almost a legit mechanic.

Towing it over to vail in the morning (fucking HATE tow$$$$$$$$) and then going to find out some deetz from a mechanic at the mtn there. HE fixed my dif round 1. Hoping everythings good, trans is good, and I can just do the dif again and be back on wheels.

Extended my apartment till wed morning so I still have a few days before I'm in homeless mode. Might start stocking up on boxes to build a home, and looking for sketchy alleys to post up in.

If I could be on the move somewhere and not completely broke in the next 3 weeks that would be pretty clutch.

well all you need is a couple pieces of steel, a welder, a hammer, and a screwdriver

probably cheaper than buying a new one.
