JOI is coming up in a few days. The Jump is 2.5m longer than last year, also it is also a 2m step down, its really huge. A new 5m rail is featured. Who will win? What new trick will be landed? First quad? Who knows, what do you think?

john18061806I want to see how big that jump looks with Nico Porteous going off it. Someone could jack a clip on youtube and give it a clickbait title like "CRAZY SKIER DOES 200FT JUMP"
prettygoodwondering about the financial situation of JOI.
Not a single sponsor logo anywhere? Anyone else noticed that?
Just_Send_Iti really hope no one does a quad
Mr.BishopWhere is the style?

Mr.BishopI actually really hope to not see any quads. Its the wrong direction for the sport to go in...
Where is the style?
Drail'Free' means it's free. Free to be style minded and free to say fuck it and huck it. Saying it should be this or it should be that goes against the mentality behind the original premise behind the movement.
I've always thought that it's pretty silly for us meer mortals to try and dictate what the top level pros can and can't throw.
I obviously realize that 'we' need to remember the past and why things happened the way they did leading up to the current freestyle movement and it would be nice to see us learn from our mistakes. It's a double edged sword, and in all honesty - if I was skilled enough to consider trying a quad, why not? Is it any different than when I was hucking switch 9s with no style when I was a teenager?
Tldr: why? Why not? Someone throwing a quad doesn't denounce the whole sport at its current state.
dbchilii think the jump this year is finally big enough for someone to follow in peps footsteps
a quarter backflip to 270 frontflip should be possible
Swandog7I would like and not like a quad. I would because the snowboarder did one and to know that it is possible, but I just don't think it where the sport should head.
Swandog7Wasn't thinking about that but it's a valid point. I would way rather see more style than hacking triples. I want to be able to be like, wow he has a really flowy cork 9and wow that guy has a really steezy cork 9 versus watching 2 triples/quads go down and have it be the same damn thing everytime. If you quad you win. Not how skiing should be.
Mr.BishopIn my dreams, Max Hill shifty 180'd it to the bottom of the landing.

Drailthe core of what we believe in Isn't going to disappear as soon as someone throws a quad. Did style disappear when double came on the scene?
TheSmeagolthe weather isn't looking to good for the comp and i heard that they are taking the cannon rail out so they have a smaller back up jump if the weather craps out.
