CampeadorIf you want her policies, go visit her website. Oh wait, I just did, and she doesn't have any policies.
So how about this, you can find her policies (good luck), and then we can discuss.
I already spoke on this earlier in this thread, so I don't meant to reiterate... but then again I was speaking about how she's not as liberal as the conservatives want to make her out to be (example being, many many liberals are against capital punishment whereas she's for it like most conservatives tend to be) Just go to Ontheissues.org. It's a pretty safe place to find most every politician's political stances and history behind what they support/don't support.
Hillary's political positions are pretty entrenched in Democratic party lines. Hell, you could almost say that she's one who's fostered a lot of that policy trend to begin with, being that the Clinton era of the 1990's mostly redefined the democratic party and unified the stance (seriously, you don't find a whole lot of dissent between democrats when it comes to what they support - unlike the GOP as previously mentioned)
Simply put...
Social policies? Democrat. End of story, really... Pro-Choice, yadda yadda... These are the things most republicans bitch and moan at her about and call her the devil because of... Because omg Monica Lewinsky, her husband is a sinner, she hates god, she's the anti-christ, blah blah blah. Whine some more. It's 2015. The 1950's are over, the white picket fence burned down, and God was never there to stop it.
Economic policies? Supports social security, medicare, obamacare, etc... anti Bush-Tax Cuts for the rich, She's always been "Meh" on NAFTA (trade being something she's always seemed to contend with her Husband's support on) and she supports workers rights, ethical labour initiatives, as well as a tax cap on Social Security. She's very much in support for a raise in the national minimum wage, which I know most fiscal conservatives are against, and will provide a bunch of yawn inducing short-term based statistics that focus on how corporations don't create as many jobs after a wage increase, and how it hurts/merely frustrates rotary club and CoC members for a few years, while ignoring the massive quality of life increase amongst low income workers who could further themselves because of it and improve the economy in the long-term... but whatever, run-on sentence.
Immigration and Foreign Policy? Complicated as ever, as you'd imagine, but considering her involvement in the current administration, I'd assume it's right there in line with Obama's. Yeah, I know... Benghazi. OMG. Part of me doubts anyone would have been able to handle that situation very well at all. The whole thing was fucked up - end of the day, though... don't blame Clinton for Americans being killed - blame psychotic dingbats. I mean, come on... If she was just OK with terrorist activities killing us or something, then she wouldn't have sponsored bills protecting our children and food supplies from terrorists as a senator, much less a bill to provide assistance to victims... Hell, you can say the Benghazi thing was, in the first place, a first strike by the GOP and conservative media to attack her 2016 campaign - as even back then it was a more/less foregone conclusion that she was a prime candidate to run - and Obama hadn't even gone out for his 2nd term yet lol.
As far as the important Foreign policy stuff - Iran Nuclear, Israel-Palestine conflict, ISIS, Cuban Embargo, Syria etc... That's all mostly things Conservatives would agree with for the most part (perhaps other than the Cuban embargo or something - because omg McCarthy Era old people are still scared of those damned red commies) She has a tougher stance on Iran than Obama's current dealings are, she's a fervent supporter of israel, and supported arming Syrian moderates along with many Republicans (which, as we know from the Reagan era is probably a bad idea, but many conservatives love the idea of arming just about anyone with guns and weaponry, so whatever)
Republicans might not like her ideas on immigration (which, is probably exactly like that, and perhaps the genesis of that of Obama's) but that debate over whether Immigrants are really a detriment or not is a debate that's still mostly up in the air, and if anything has leaned towards pro-amnesty amongst most wide ranging economic studies of the more effected regions and states (which, besides Texas and Arizona, tend to be Blue states with thriving economies anyway) Hell, even the GOP is silently split on the issue. I'm sure Texas would be for it, as it's directly contributed to mostly positive things within their very low-income job heavy economy, but nobody there would be willing to say it, because much of those politicians voting base are still scared of brown people... So that's where a lot of the hold-up is over any bill reaching congressional resolution... Yay party lines...
Her stances on Crime? Given the current situation going on in the USA with #blacklivesmatter, and the continuing cases of people being shot by the police, I'm sure you're about to hear alllll about her stances on Gun control and effective crime prevention coming up, as it's a very hot topic that will certainly fire up her voting base.
So anyway, not to make this longer than it already is... she has policies. Many of them. They're easy to find. I support most of them. I simply just dislike her entrenchment within Washington, and her more conservative foreign policy stances - including her damn strong inclination to use American power overseas (which is something Republicans somehow think she doesn't have - I mean, come on.. you know these consistent drone strikes? Don't tell me that, given her position as fucking Sec. of State, she didn't have a lot to do with that... If any Republican was in office, one could only assume no real fucking difference in that regard. At the same time, though... I'd far rather have Clinton as secretary of state than John Kerry's frenetic waffling and Condi's hardcore failures as NSA, authorization of interrogational torture, and outright bullshitting when it came to Iraq, WMD's, and the handling of the unnecessary war thereafter. Seriously, say all you want about Clinton and Benghazi, but when you want to point a finger at a horrible situation, look at Condi and the Bush administration and how poorly things were mishandled then. I don't like to make comparisons in this case, but my god, Clinton's a fucking beast in comparison to that shitshow...
And to again answer the question this thread intended... about whether a woman was fit to be President or not? Since 1997, 50% of all secretaries of state have been Female. If women are good enough to be 3rd in line*, why not President itself?
*(Albright was ineligible given her not having been born in the USA)
