FuckitandhuckitI like the idea but whenever I use my line poles the tab will get caught under the ski as I am trying to land and it leads to some scary ass landings
RDemI've been using the grab tabs ever since they came out and I love them, never wanna go back.
The problem most people have with skier's thumb is the way they use their pole strap. I probably can't explain it really well over the typing but essentially you want the strap in the palm of your hands, not on top.
I don't know if that helps, maybe there's a youtube video you can look up or something.
Line_SkisThis. It's so common to see skiers with with the strap over the bridge of your thumb and index finger. When the pointy stick get caught on something and pulls back, if the strap is like this, a terrible skiers thumb issue ensues.
The Grab Tabs are stiff enough plastic to keep you pointy sticks on your hands for 5 finger grabs but soft and bendy enough to disengage and not injure you. OR if you're still skeptical .. we're making a model of stick next year that doesn't have a grab tab and more or a traditional contoured grip .. plus it's shaped like a snake .. so that's cool. thanks. -jm
BearGrillsIf you have your hand under your ski when you land, you're doing something wrong..

FuckitandhuckitIt gets caught on the bottom of my ski when I am holding the grab so when I try to release it won't let me.
kryptonicI don't know how that could possibly happen unless you have the tab over your index finger or something.
kryptonicThinking of getting some line pin poles but it appears that the grab tab may give you some bad skiers thumb, anyone have any experience with this.
NHSkier125Just don't eat shit haha
kryptonicWell I don't want to plateau my skiing progression so that probably is going to happen unfortunately because usually the way you learn stuff is by eating it or falling.
kryptonicI know exactly what you are talking about and I do wear my straps the right way not with it over my thumb.
RDemDo you ever get skier's thumb with your current pole?
